Recently, The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple Joe and Melissa Giudice were faced with cheating allegations but are reportedly unfazed by them. Joe and Melissa have come a long way in their relationship. The couple tied the knot in August 2004 and welcomed three children: daughter Antonia, born a year after their wedding, and sons Gino and Joey, born in September 2007 and April 2010, respectively. They joined Bravo’s reality television series RHONJ in 2011 and have seen parts of their lives play out on television since then. Fans have watched the drama unfold in the couple’s lives, especially in their relationship with Joe’s sister, Teresa Giudice.
One such controversy that may come to fans’ minds happened in June 2013 during a RHONJ season 5 episode. In the episode, Teresa brought up rumors that Melissa was cheating on Joe with an ex-boyfriend. The drama got more intense during a retreat at Lake George when Teresa’s ex-husband, Joe Giudice, got into a fight with Melissa’s husband after he called Teresa a “scum.” In July 2013, Melissa’s former BFF, Jan DeDolce, claimed she cheated on Joe with her ex. However, she denied the accusations, saying she had never cheated on Joe and that the allegations against her were disappointing. Joe and Melissa have moved on from that episode and navigated their relationship difficulties, remaining together after 18 years.
However, the couple was recently faced with another cheating allegation after Melissa was accused of having an affair with actor Nick Barrotta. Still, the couple is not fazed by the allegations and even finds them amusing. A source told Page Six that Joe and Melissa are laughing about the allegations and find them ridiculous, adding that the couple has been friends with Nick for years. In addition, the insider claimed that Melissa and Nick have always hung out in group settings, while the latter is good friends with her husband. Meanwhile, sources close to Nick told the Daily Mail that the actor is “shocked that someone would make up something so nasty in an attempt to destroy two families.”
Despite the sources’ statements, Laura Marasca Jensen, the woman accused of bringing the cheating allegations to the Housewives, claimed that RHONJ star Margaret Josephs is the rumor’s mastermind. Laura said, “I stand by my truth. I never said [the rumor] was true. I said I was told by Margaret that someone saw that. I never said that Melissa did that.” Although Laura claimed these, several sources claimed she told Teresa and Jennifer Aydin about the rumors during a meetup. Laura confirmed she met Teresa and Jennifer but said she meant Melissa no harm. However, it is alleged that Jennifer revealed the scandalous tea on camera during filming of the upcoming season of RHONJ. The drama that followed might have caused Joe and Melissa not to attend Teresa’s wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas, as they believe she allegedly helped the rumor make it onto the show.
The drama leading to the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey continues to get more intense, and fans are anticipating what’s to come. Joe and Melissa have had their battles with Teresa in the past, but it now seems the couple has had enough of her. By missing out on Teresa’s wedding, Joe and Melissa showed they are likely against the union and are better off without her.
