RHOD: D’Andra Simmons Suggests Her Scenes May Be Staged

D’Andra Simmons from The Real Housewives of Dallas has revealed that her scenes may be staged. She recently admitted to giving producers notes. While it is good to be organized, fans wonder how much of the show is planned out for ratings.

Viewers will recall that the Hard Night Good Morning founder had a tough previous season on RHOD due to the ongoing struggle between her mother and herself. The socialite also ended her relationship with LeeAnne Locken after years of fun and laughs. But before the season premiere, fans learned that D’Andra was fighting for her life in a Dallas ICU. Now that she has been released, she is spilling the tea on what goes down behind the scenes of the show.

According to Page Six, D’Andra has revealed that she likes to be prepared for certain scenes that are set to be filmed for the upcoming week. The Dallas socialite revealed she likes to share notes with producers saying, “I kind of look at everything that’s happening week by week, and I will make my own notes about what points I want to get across.”

The 51-year-old went on to tell readers, “It’s really important if you’re not prepared when you’re going into doing a scene and you forget something and … you can’t go back.” These statements added fuel to fans fire who believe the show is already too staged. The reality star did admit that producers find it “weird,” saying, “It’s a catch-22. They like the fact I’m prepared. On the other hand, then do you take out the spontaneity of what’s going to happen? I always have to remember that just because I want this to happen, I want to get this point across, it may not be where it’s going to go. The scene may not go that way.”

Only last week D’Andra took to her Instagram to thank fans for their support while she was ill. The Dallas socialite was fighting to breathe in the hospital’s ICU. A friend of the housewives was the one to reveal that D’Andra had come down with COVID-19. Now it looks like she is healed and ready to stand her ground against Kary Brittingham who has come for her on the second episode.
