RHOC: Heather Dubrow Blames Bravo For Editing Jen At Her Dinner Party

RHOC: Heather Dubrow Blames Bravo For Editing Jen At Her Dinner Party

In the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Heather Dubrow threw a dinner party where viewers saw newcomer Jen Armstrong get completely wasted, but Heather is blaming Bravo for editing it to make the dinner look worse than it was. Dr. Jen, who is a plastic surgeon, confided in Heather about how she and her husband Ryne were struggling in their marriage. Jen confessed to working long hours to build her practice and support her family while Ryne took on the role of a stay-at-home-dad.

Although Jen’s life seemed glamorous from the outside, fans quickly saw how her and Ryne’s dynamic caused issues in their relationship. Ryne often seemed aloof and emotionally distant, while Jen felt that Ryne resented her for not being more present at home. Heather, who had gone through her own struggles with her renowned plastic surgeon husband Terry Dubrow, offered to help Jen navigate her marriage with Ryne. She invited Jen and Ryne over to the Dubrow Chateau for a dinner, along with other happily married friends of hers.

The night started out on an awkward note, with Jen and Ryne in a car heading to the Dubrow’s. Ryne seemed very reluctant to go and seemed more interested in the driver’s workout regimen than his wife. Upon arriving, Jen seemed to go from sober to inebriated very quickly. During dinner, Jen kept cutting Ryne off when he was speaking and consistently “managed” him by telling him what to do. Jen was also seen enjoying Heather’s wine and kept repeating that it was “very good.” Jen was also visibly annoyed when Ryne used his dinner napkin as a bib. Ryne eventually got exasperated and walked away from the dinner table. However, during Heather’s podcast, Heather Dubrow’s World, she explained that production made it look “sh****” and that Jen wasn’t as intoxicated as she appeared.

Heather went on to explain that the entire group had fun dancing that night and that the party was much more fun than Bravo made it out to be. She also revealed that the toast Jen had made about the underwear was later on in the evening and not just when they had just sat down. Heather blames the editors at Bravo for making it seem as if Jen was intoxicated the whole night when she “wasn’t that hammered until the end.” Heather, who has been accused of self-producing her storyline on RHOC, said that she hated how production made her friend look.

Fans of Real Housewives know that most of their storylines are real, but it’s all in the hands of the editors in post-production. Many fans have criticized the Housewives for their bad behavior and the Housewives in turn have blamed editing for making them look like villains or for making an event, like Heather’s dinner, seem way more awkward than it ever was. However, fans can’t blame editing for the tension between Jen and Ryne. They have commented that their dynamic is “weird” and predict that Jen and Ryne will end up divorcing by the end of the year. Still, despite the awkward dinner party, Heather said that on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show Jen was “funny” and everyone had a “lot of fun that night,” with Jen agreeing, “It was a blast.”
