RHOC: Gina Kirschenheiter Explains ‘Crisis’ Of Braunwyn & Sean’s Marriage

Gina Kirschenheiter and Braunwyn Windham-Burke are feuding on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The two costars have been at odds after Gina accused Braunwyn’s husband, Sean Burke, of sending her a “creepy” text message. Now, Gina claims the couple’s marriage is in a state of “crisis.”

Braunwyn has been open about the uniqueness of her marriage with Sean. The two married in 2000 and share seven children together. The Bravolebrity recently revealed that the two are “redefining” their marriage by living separately. The revelation came amid divorce rumors that were plaguing the couple. Last week, Braunwyn shared that they are in an open marriage and she is seeing “someone special.” There were reports over the summer that she left her husband and was dating a woman. Around the same time, the Bravo star asked for privacy after their 18-year-old daughter Rowan lashed out at her mother in a harsh Instagram caption.

After Gina revealed Sean’s text on last week’s episode of RHOC, Braunwyn accused her fellow housewife of “weaponizing” her marriage and sexuality. Gina has since responded and says she “doesn’t care” what Braunwyn thinks because her focus should be on her current family situation. “I think right now, honestly, [I] think Braunwyn and her family are in crisis,” Gina told Us Weekly on Monday, October 26. “And I’m not going to put much stock into anything she said, and I feel for her family and you know, [but] I’m not trying to make things worse for them.”

Gina also touched on the couple’s open marriage, saying, “I’m not a judgmental person, you know what I mean. So, if it works for them [then fine].” She seemingly suggested Braunwyn and Sean are only staying together because “it’s easier” than getting divorced. Braunwyn recently opened up about how supportive her husband is toward her new relationship. This is something Gina touched on as well. “If he’s OK with that — I think it might get a little sticky if he met someone new, that person would like to marry him,” Gina told the outlet. “I don’t know if that would survive the modern marriage,” she said.

Gina appears to be convinced that Braunwyn and Sean are only together to keep their family together and avoid a messy and expensive divorce. “But if it works for them now,” she added. “I mean, it’s less paperwork, it’s less money out of your pocket. It’s less of a headache and it’s, you know, it’s less messy for the whole family.” Yikes! It looks like these two might be going at it all season.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on Bravo.
