Dorit Kemsley is defending her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Erika Jayne, while Erika deals with legal troubles and her impending divorce from estranged husband, Tom Girardi. Erika is currently being sued for allegedly embezzling over $2 million. She filed for divorce from Tom back in November 2020.
Even though Erika and Dorit haven’t always seen eye to eye, they have become close in the most recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills seasons. When Dorit first joined the cast of the Bravo reality series, Erika didn’t appreciate fashion icon Dorit or her husband PK. After PK accidentally noticed that Erika was not wearing underwear during an outing, Dorit thought it would be funny to bring her panties as a gag gift. Erika was offended by this, which created a whole issue between the three of them. They eventually hashed it out during the reunion and Erika and Dorit have been close ever since. Now, Dorit is standing up for her friend during a difficult time in Erika Jayne’s personal life.
Los Angeles attorney Ronald Richards took to Twitter to suggest that one of Erika’s most recent Instagram photos was taken at her former Pasadena home. Richards asked his followers to “please ID” the home for him. He was wondering if Erika made a mistake by posting the picture. Dorit Kemsley fired back on Twitter, sticking up for her friend. She wrote, “I can 100% confirm this was NOT at the Pasadena home. Please, give her a break already! Innocent until proven guilty. This has moved beyond reporting to full on bullying.” Erika replied to Dorit’s tweet, thanking her for the kind words. Some fans appreciated Dorit standing up for Erika, while others felt she was only trying to suck up to her. See the photo that Erika posted below:
Erika and Tom are currently deep in some legal drama after they were accused of faking their split to “fraudulently protect” their money and assets. A class-action lawsuit was filed against the pair by Edelson PC for allegedly embezzling $2 million in settlement funds that were intended for families of Lion Air Flight 610 victims. Ronald Richards has been following Tom and Erika’s case since it began and has even alleged that the recent burglary at their Pasadena home was suspicious. He tweeted on Thursday, “Hard to believe but it just keeps coming,” he said. He continued, “The best way to dissipate personal property from a residence is to have a burglary. I can’t wait to see the property report. How would memory-impaired [Thomas Girardi] know about a burglary to report it?… When will these antics be stopped?” Tom’s lawyers had previously said he was unable to understand the severity of his legal cases and has since named his brother Robert as his temporary conservator. Erika has yet to comment on the legal drama or her divorce from Tom. However, the reality star did accuse her ex in December 2020 of cheating on her during their marriage. She is expected to spill the tea in the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
