Reno 911! Hunt For QAnon Trailer Shows The Deputies Stuck At Sea

A new trailer for Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon has the deputies investigating far-right conspiracy theories. Reno 911!, a mockumentary-style series in the vein of Cops, originally aired six seasons from 2003 to 2009 on Comedy Central. It followed the incompetent deputies of the Reno Sheriff’s Department as they bumbled their way through one botched call after another. After 11 years, the show received a seventh season in 2020 on Quibi, a now-defunct streaming platform. The new episodes from Quibi have since migrated to the Roku Channel, where more episodes have been ordered.

In addition to more episodes on Roku, Paramount+ shared a trailer on YouTube for Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon, an exclusive new special for the streaming service. The trailer sees the familiar faces from the Reno Sheriff’s Department as they go undercover on a QAnon “booze cruise.” After being found out, the deputies find themselves in a fight for their lives on Jeffrey Epstein’s island against heavily armed conspiracy theorists, including the QAnon shaman. The Hunt for QAnon sees the show’s cast returning, including Thomas Lennon, Kerri Kenney, Robert Ben Garant, Carlos Alazraqui, Niecy Nash, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and others. Much like the 2007 film, Reno 911! Miami, The Hunt for QAnon special is directed by Garant, with the deputies venturing far outside their jurisdiction to deliver their unique style of absurd police work. The new special also looks to offer the same brand of humor Reno 911! fans have come to expect. Audiences can catch Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon when it hits Paramount+ on December 23.
