Realistic Kristoff Is Basically Prince Charming In Transformative Frozen Art

New Frozen art turns Kristoff into a human-like Prince Charming. Released in 2013, Frozen is one of Disney’s most successful animated movies of all time. After acclaim from audiences and critics alike, Frozen spurred a stage musical adaptation as well as a 2019 sequel, and has now confirmed the development of Frozen 3.

New digital art from @ylanast reveals a metamorphosis for Frozen’s Kristoff. In a video on their Instagram, the artist shows a time lapse evolution as they progress Kristoff from the animated print to the more realistic version.

The character is given a full head of floppy blonde hair, full lips, hazel brown eyes, and a subtle smile. In the final version, Kristoff looks nothing short of Prince Charming.

Why Kristoff Could Be Frozen 3’s Sleeper Hit

Introduced in the first Frozen film, Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his beloved reindeer Sven come in part way through the film. After an iteration of “Love is an Open Door,” Anna had been enamored by Hans, only to eventually realize he was evil. As a result, Anna ends up going for the genuine, albeit bumbling, soul in Kristoff.

After getting with Anna formally, Kristoff sweetly spends most of Frozen 2 trying to work up his nerve to propose to Anna. Within the film, Kristoff delivers a power ballad that is arguably the best in the film, “Lost in the Woods.” Though Idina Menzel’s “Into the Unknown” gets the most attention, Groff’s smooth vocals as well as the catchy, electric guitar-assisted melody of Kristoff’s song is both an earworm and a great character song.

A Popular Frozen 3 Theory Would Make Anna’s Character Way Less Relatable

Although Anna comes off as highly relatable in the Frozen franchise, a popular fan theory could change that if it turns out to be canon in Frozen 3.

Kristoff’s endearing personality and strong vocal performance in Frozen 2 both make him one of the most appealing elements of the film, indicating the strength of the character. Now wedded to Anna, Kristoff has the potential to be a highlight of Frozen 3. While the series, understandably, has focused most of its attention on the relationship between sisters Elsa and Anna, Disney should not forget about Elsa’s newly-minted brother-in-law in the process.
