Ravager Cosplay Gives Deathstroke’s Daughter a Snyderverse Redesign

Ravager Cosplay Gives Deathstroke’s Daughter a Snyderverse Redesign

In DC Comics, Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson, aka Ravager, is a skilled and dangerous enemy-turned-friend of the superhero team known as the Teen Titans. Sadly not making the live-action cut in Zack Snyder’s now defunct Snyderverse set of films, Ravager has finally been given the dark and gritty makeover her father received in the DCEU’s continuity, a redesign only made possible by the talented artists of the cosplay community.

A post shared to Instagram by AntiSocial (@antisocialpictures) and photographer Mark (@nycosplayer), these two creatives have teamed up to bring fans a real-life take on a character that doesn’t get as much fanfare as her badass name implies.

More recently, AntiSocial has dressed as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles‘ Shredder, the Bat-Family’s Huntress, a “base form” version of Ravager, and more, with Mark cranking out photo after photo featuring cosplayers with unique designs like a Jokerized Red Hood Who Laughs, a Symbiote Spider-Man 2099, and a Venomized Miles Morales, to name a few.

Manipulated by her father, Slade Wilson, aka Deathstroke, into working with him to accomplish his evil goals, Rose eventually realized that Slade wasn’t looking out for her best interests and went on to use the Ravager moniker for good soon after their split. Struggling over the years with her more anti-heroic tendencies, Rose struck up a relationship with the Bat-Family’s Red Hood and although her dad got his DCEU debut in the Justice League movie (portrayed by Joe Manganiello), Rose didn’t receive the same treatment, making this Snyderverse cosplay design that much more important for fans of Ravager to see.

Photographed by Mark from the business end of Ravager’s automatic weapon, it’s AntiSocials’ battle-worn and very Snyderverse-esque facemask/helmet that stands out as the crowning piece in a stunning cosplay that’s already firing on all cylinders. Acting as proof of concept for what a more gritty and realistic live-action Ravager design should look like, AntiSocials’ flowing white hair poking out from under their form-fitting mask, lived-in orange and black tactical wardrobe, and wide-eyed determination in wanting to shoot the next person they see, giving fans a real-world take on a character that needs more exposure.

Unfortunately, the Snyderverse officially ended after the release of last year’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, with James Gunn’s new DCU poised to bring entirely new takes on iconic DC Comics heroes and villains to the big screen soon — hopefully with Rose and Deathstroke in tow. For now, Ravager will continue her adventures in comics, but if fans can’t wait for her official big screen debut, they can check out Titans on Max, where Rose, played by Chelsea Zhang, wore a live-action design that this Snyderverse cosplay, in all honesty, puts to shame.
