Quantum Leap Season 2 Finale Clip Showcases A Surprising Reunion [EXCLUSIVE]

Following an explosive series of events, Quantum Leap season 2 will wrap up with a two-hour season finale on Tuesday, February 20 on NBC. Season 2, episode 12, “As the World Burns” airs at 9 p.m. EST, succeeded by season 2, episode 13, “Against Time”. The sci-fi show is yet to be renewed by the network, but given the show’s endless storytelling potential, the cast remains hopeful for its continuation.

Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive clip from the Quantum Leap finale, which shows Ben leap into the body of a Baltimore firefighter. He soon discovers that the accelerator has brought him to Hannah and her son, Jeffrey, years after Josh’s death. While Ben was able to warn Hannah about her husband’s heart condition, he was helpless to stop him from meeting his end in a tragic car accident. Check out Ben and Hannah’s surprising reunion in the sneak peek at the top of this article.

What To Expect From The Quantum Leap Finale

There are several ongoing plotlines and loose ends that Quantum Leap season 2 must address before the season comes to a close. The show’s latest episode, “The Outsider,” sees Magic make a surprising decision regarding his team. While Ian is responsible for stealing Gideon’s quantum chip, they are the only person who has the knowledge base to bring Ben home. Rather than force Jenn to take the fall in Ian’s place, Magic resigns from the team, effective immediately.

Magic has been a key player in the Quantum Leap Project since it was rebooted, making his departure an astronomical loss. The team will likely do whatever it takes to bring their boss back on board, but freeing Ben from the endless loop of leaps remains a top priority. Ben’s potential homecoming has grown even more complex following Addison’s breakup with Tom and his current feelings for Hannah. All signs indicate that the two-part finale will address where he stands with both women, despite being unable to truly be with either in his current predicament.

If “Against Time” follows the same formula as Quantum Leap’s first finale, fans will receive long-awaited clarity on the season’s overarching story. However, in typical television fashion, new questions are bound to arise after the current ones are answered. The plot of Quantum Leap season 3 remains to be seen, but its exceptional second season is further proof that the sci-fi reboot has all the necessary tools to continue to build on Donald P. Bellisario’s original premise.
