Pussycat Dolls Reunite for UK X Factor: Celebrity Finale, Perform New Song

The Pussycat Dolls reunited for the UK X Factor: Celebrity Finale and performed a new song. Fans of the early 2000’s music are currently living their best lives; not only have the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears reunited with their fans, but now, so have the Las Angeles-based girl group, The Pussycat Dolls.

The Pussycat Dolls were one of the top female groups ever to perform on the show. Now, the group made a reunion appearance to remember on The X Factor’s UK season finale which aired this past Saturday. Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt, Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, and Carmit Bachar stepped onto the stage for the first time since the group parted ways almost ten years ago.

The five girls performed a mix of their hit songs, which included “Buttons,” “When I Grow Up,” and a brand new song titled “React.” The new song felt completely on brand with the group and showcased the girls’ dance moves by featuring a chair dance that soaked them all with water. Scherzinger had been a judge on the popular British singing show for years and was over the moon to be able to surprise her fans.

The Pussycat Dolls had announced on Wednesday, November 27 that they would be reuniting for a tour on their social media websites. The tour will fittingly be called Unfinished Business and will begin the U.K. in April 2020. Carmit told ET that the group could not be more excited to grace the stage once more. In their first interview since the split, the singers gushed at how perfect it felt to be in sync once again and that this time they would be “bigger and better.” Roberts spoke out at how perfect the timing of their reunion was and that it was fantastic that it took place at the ten-year mark.

It was fitting that the ladies made their comeback in the U.K., as the band’s lead singer, Scherzinger, was not only a popular judge on the show, but also had several number one hits as a solo artist on the U.K. charts with “Boomerang” and “Don’t Hold Your Breath.” Sadly, fans will not see Melody Thornton join the reunion tour as she had previously mentioned that she wouldn’t return to the girl group because she wanted to focus on her own career. Even with a girl down, the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour is set up to be quite the spectacle.
