In season 6, Emily, Aria, Spencer, and Hanna learn the story of Charles DiLaurentis, but before that happens, they’re still stuck in the dollhouse. Emily looks at her body and then says this horrifying quote about wondering if A had done some serious damage to them. Hanna tells Emily that they would have died and Emily replies, “You only need one kidney.”
The fact that Emily would even wonder if A stole organs from herself and her friends is really wild, and this just proves how much danger the characters have been in since the start of the story. Emily says this so matter-of-factly as she is used to worrying about her life hanging in the balance.
Season 7: Ella Mentions When The Moms Were Stuck In The Basement
“Sometimes I wish we were still in the basement.”
The PLL parents have solid storylines in several seasons, and the liars’ mothers get stuck in the DiLaurentis house basement at the end of season 6. Fans still laugh about this plotline as it’s never clear how they manage to escape.
In the final season, Ella references this famous moment and suggests that even though this was a scary time, they had some fun and enjoyed being together. According to Teen Vogue, creator I. Marlene King said that the characters “had to probably climb on top of each other” and they dumped oil on Pam so she can get through the basement window easily.
