Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin features an ensemble cast that includes a mix of up-and-comers and seasoned veterans. The HBO Max show debuting in July 2022 is set in the Pretty Little Liars franchise, and though it shares the same continuity as the original show, Original Sin focuses on an entirely new set of characters. Granted, the mysterious “A” is still the primary antagonist, but the figure’s identity remains unknown.
Whereas Pretty Little Liars took place in Rosewood, Pennsylvania, Original Sin is set in the same place but in the town of Millwood. The show focuses on a group of girls–Imogen, Noa, Faran, Tabby, and Mouse–as they come together for a common mission before finding themselves as targets for “A.” Original Sin also delves into the past through family members of the main set of characters, who have a secret of their own linked to the death of a classmate in the ’90s.
While Original Sin could connect to Pretty Little Liars with future plot points, the two shows don’t share any main or supporting cast members at launch. Original Sin follows a similar outline to Pretty Little Liars, but the different town results in a set of new faces. While some of the Original Sin cast members might be recognizable, others will be calling the HBO Max show their breakout role. Bailee Madison As Imogen Adams
Bailee Madison plays the role of Imogen Adams, a pregnant teen who attends Millwood High School. After a family tragedy turns Imogen’s life upside down, she begins a new connection with a group of classmates. The group then becomes the target of the masked killer “A.” Aside from film roles in movies like Bridge to Terabithia, Just Go with It, and The Strangers: Prey at Night, Madison is best known for her TV work in Once Upon a Time, The Fosters, and Good Witch.
Maia Reficco As Noa Olivar
A member of the new friend group is Noa Olivar, a character portrayed by actress Maia Reficco. Noa is a track star for the high school who recently got out of juvenile detention. In addition to wearing an ankle monitor, Noa is still carrying out her community service when she gets caught up with “A” and the drama facing the school. Reficco is still a newcomer, with a previous credit being a starring role in Kally’s Mashup. That said, she will soon appear in Netflix’s Do Revenge, a movie starring Sophie Turner, Camila Mendes, and Stranger Things‘ Maya Hawke.
Zaria As Faran Bryant
Another member of the core group in focus of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is Faran Bryant, played by Zaria. Like Noa, Faran has an interest in extracurriculars, but in her case, it’s ballet. After obtaining the role of Black Swan in the group’s next performance, influence from “A” throws a wrench in her ballerina future, which is already being affected by racism in the industry. Before the PLL spinoff, Zari appeared in Black-ish, Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!, and Bosch.
Chandler Kinney As Tabby Haworthe
Next up is Chandler Kinney, who stars as Tabitha “Tabby” Haworthe in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Tabby is a horror fanatic working at a local movie theater after school that gets wrapped up in a new mystery surrounding a classmate. She also forges a strong connection with Imogen after her family steps in to help the pregnant teen. In addition to appearing in shows like Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, The Haunted Hathaways, Girl Meets World, K.C. Undercover, and Lethal Weapon, Kinney would be best known for her work as Willa in the Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise.
Malia Pyles As Minnie “Mouse” Honrada
Rounding out the core group is Malia Pyles’ character, Minnie “Mouse” Honrada. Minnie is a tech-obsessed introvert who finds the group after being bullied. Her connection to her classmates and something from a family member’s past causes her to become an “A” target. Pyles’s more recent acting credits include Speechless, The Fosters, How to Get Away with Murder, Baskets, and Batwoman.
Mallory Bechtel As Karen & Kelly Beasley
Actress Mallory Bechtel does double-duty in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, playing twin sisters Karen and Kelly Beasley. Karen prioritizes popularity as a Millwood High student, which often causes her to emerge as the school’s biggest bully. Kelly, on the other hand, is an enabler of Karen’s behavior until she’s forced to deal with the fallout of a family tragedy involving “A.” Aside from roles in Law & Order: SVU, FBI: Most Wanted, and Hereditary, Bechtel would be known for theatre work in Bring It On: The Musical, Rent, and Dear Evan Hansen, where she played Zoe Murphy.

Eric Johnson as Sheriff Beasley: Karen and Kelly’s father and the sheriff in Millwood. Johnson has dozens of credits to his name, but some of his most well-known roles occurred in Flash Gordon, Smallville, Rookie Blue, The Knick, Vikings, American Gods, and the Fifty Shades series.
Gabriella Pizzolo as Angela Waters: A Millwood High student who tragically died during a party in 1999 and has a connection to the girls’ mothers. Aside from theatre work, Pizzolo would be recognized for playing Dustin’s girlfriend, Suzie, in Stranger Things.
Zakiya Young as Corey Bryant: Faran’s mother who works at a law firm in Pittsburgh. Young previously appeared in Iron Fist, Mozart in the Jungle, Orange Is the New Black, and Submissions Only.
Sharon Leal as Sidney Haworthe: Tabby’s mom who helps Imogen when she’s in need. Leal’s most recent work includes roles in The Good Doctor, Instinct, and Supergirl, where she played Miss Martian.
Elena Goode as Marjorie Olivar: Noa’s mother who is hiding a dark secret regarding her daughter. Goode would be most recognized for her work as Jade Taylor in As the World Turns.
Lea Salonga as Elodie Honrada: Mouse’s mother who went to Millwood High in the ’90s. In addition to an extensive career on Broadway, Salonga would be best known for providing the singing voices of Disney Princesses Jasmine and Mulan.
Carly Pope as Davie Adams: Imogen’s mother who is connected to Angela and becomes the center of events at focus in Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Pope previously starred in Popular, The Collector, Suits, and Arrow.
Alex Aiono as Shawn: Noa’s boyfriend who plays football for Millwood High. In addition to past roles in Royal Crush, Finding ‘Ohana, and Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Aiono is best known for his singing career and YouTube presence.
Derek Klena as Wes: Chip and Tabby’s manager at the theater who takes a romantic liking to Noa despite being a bit older. Klena appeared in shows like The Code, Quantico, Blue Bloods, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt while also being a Tony-nominated performer for his work in Jagged Little Pill.
