PowerWash Simulator: How To Play With Friends (Multiplayer Guide)

There’s something deeply satisfying about cleaning in PowerWash Simulator, and now players can do it with friends. The full version of the game was recently released, though players have had access to the Beta for years on Steam. With the official release of the complete and finished game, players can connect with friends in multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign.

The basic plot of PowerWash Simulator follows players as they set up a new cleaning business. As players complete jobs, they earn money that can be used to purchase better tools, cleaning solutions, and a variety of nozzles to get the job done faster. There is plenty of lore peppered into the game for those looking for a story, but PowerWash Simulator also functions well as a stress-reliever. In addition to a campaign mode, players can also just play random levels or clean special items like the Mars Rover. With the official release of the game, developers have added a ton of content and new levels, so players who were around for the Beta have a lot to see in the new version.

Players who are looking to do PowerWash Simulator with friends can now access multiplayer mode. The full release of the game also supports cross-platform play, so regardless of how players are accessing the game, they can play with each other.

How to Enable Multiplayer in PowerWash Simulator

Multiplayer works in any of the gameplay modes available on the main menu in PowerWash Simulator. Open up the tablet, or menu, and in the top left players will see an option to enable co-op. Players will be able to choose co-op mode for up to five other players. Toggling this option will turn on co-op mode, but it is only accessible from within the level.

If players toggle “friends only” in the tablet menu in PowerWash Simulator, they will only be able to bring in friends from that device to play. There is also an option here for crossplay, which enables players from both consoles and PC to play together and get that deep clean feeling in PowerWash Simulator.

On the top right of the console, players will see the option to join a player’s co-op game if they do not already have co-op mode toggled on. From here, players will be able to see any open games their friends are playing, or any cross-platform games that are open. If players already have co-op mode on, they will instead see an option to invite a friend to play PowerWash Simulator.

PowerWash Simulator is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
