Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How to Find (& Catch) Iron Valiant

One of the coolest-looking Paradox pocket monsters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is Iron Valiant, an android-like creature bearing a strong resemblance to Gardevoir and Gallade. Iron Valiant is a Fairy- and Fighting-type Pokémon that wields exceptionally high Atk, SpAtk, and Speed, making it one of the best counters to take Dragon-type pocket monsters in Paldea’s open world and high-level Tera Raid Battles. When selecting an optimal Nature for this Paradox pocket monster, bolstering its Speed or Atk is recommended, resulting in Adamant and Jolly being the best choices. To get this special fighter, Trainers must venture into the mysterious zone known as Area Zero.

Just like any Paradox pocket monster in the game, it is essential for Trainers to gain access to Area Zero if they want to find and catch Iron Valiant, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Area Zero becomes accessible once players have completed the main campaign of Scarlet and Violet, which is composed of three storylines: Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street. After the credits have rolled, Trainers can begin their postgame journey and start The Way Home, the storyline that has them enter Area Zero at the Zero Gate.

Finding & Catching Iron Valiant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Once players are free to roam Area Zero as they please, they must make their way to the zone accessed via Research Station No. 3. Between these rocks, players will find a small pathway leading into a large underground grotto, where they will encounter Iron Valiant in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Keep in mind that this pocket monster is exclusive for Violet users.

While Iron Valiant is not as powerful as the bosses players have faced throughout their adventure in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, this Paradox Pokémon can still be a formidable foe against those unprepared. As mentioned above, Trainers should not use Dragon-type combatants to fight this opponent. Bug-, Dark-, Fighting-, and Rock-type Pokémon should also not be used for this battle. Instead, players should use Poison-, Flying-, Psychic-, Steel-, and Fairy-type Pokémon to weaken Iron Valiant enough for an Ultra-Ball catch in Scarlet and Violet. If this is the case, Game8 suggests catching or defeating all of the pocket monsters within the area to refresh spawned creatures, enabling Iron Valiant to appear in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
