Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to Catch (& Evolve) Ralts

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to Catch (& Evolve) Ralts

One of the most beloved Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is the Psychic- and Fairy-type Gardevoir of the Ralts evolution family. Ralts is a small Feeling Pokémon whose family has four members, two of which are variations for the third evolution form. Gardevoir is the default evolution that emerges once Ralts’s second form, Kirlia, reaches a specific level milestone. Conversely, Gallade is the alternate Psychic- and Fighting-type evolution form that comes about from Kirlia receiving an evolution item while being a certain gender. Nevertheless, before understanding these details, Trainers should know where they can find and catch Ralts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Location-wise, Ralts’s habitat is very easy to find in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as it is in an area that Trainers can access at the very start of the game. Specifically, Wild Ralts can be found near the Los Platos settlement of Area One in the South Province. However, the catch is that this Psychic- and Fairy-type Feeling Pokémon is “very rarely seen,” meaning that it spawns into the overworld at an extremely low rate compared to most wild pocket monsters. Therefore, consuming a Sandwich is highly recommended before Trainers embark on their hunt for Ralts.

Finding and Evolving Ralts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

The Ultra Ham Sandwich and Ultra Nouveau Veggie Sandwich are two excellent choices for buffing one’s Fairy-type Encounter Power when searching for Ralts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Of course, it is possible to get lucky in Scarlet or Violet simply by walking around Ralts’s habitat for several minutes or longer.

Such an approach was performed by YouTuber Nirth, who eventually found a Wild Ralts by walking around Los Platos for a period. This does not mean every Trainer will be fortunate during their hunt, which is why Sandwiches are a strong recommendation for this endeavor in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Once players have finally caught Ralts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they can evolve it into Kirlia by advancing Feeling Pokémon to Level 20. The evolution from Kirlia into Gardevoir or Gallade can be tricky, depending on which one is desired. To get Gardevoir, Kirlia must attain Level 30, after which it will automatically turn into the Embrace Pokémon. On the other hand, Gallade has two specific requirements for its evolution.

First, Kirlia must be a male. If this condition has been met, then giving the male Kirlia a Dawn Stone will complete Gallade’s evolution in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Dawn Stones can be obtained via exploration or from participating in auctions at Porto Marinada. Conversely, finding a male Ralts could be a trickier challenge.
