Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How To Get (& Use) The Electirizer

Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How To Get (& Use) The Electirizer

In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, one of the items that players can get and use is the Electirizer, and like many evolutionary items, the Electirizer is used differently from its purpose in the past. While it can still be used to evolve Electabuzz into Electivire, the Electirizer is no longer a held item that players can give to Electabuzz. Instead, much like a Dawn Stone in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Electirizer is a single-use item for evolution.

Unlike many of the Pokémon that can evolve in Legends: Arceus, evolving Electabuzz into Electivire doesn’t necessarily make the Pokémon “better” as much as it does different. While Electabuzz does have a lower stat total than its evolved form, it has higher Speed and Special Attack stats than Electivire. This means that, once the Electirizer has been used, players will need to consider changing all of Electivire’s moves to physical Attacks like Thunder Punch and Ice Punch instead of Thunderbolt and Psychic. Nonetheless, Electivire is a popular choice among trainers for its physical strength as an Electric-type, particularly because there aren’t many Pokémon that have high Attack stats while also being an Electric-type.

As players continue their journey through the Hisui region, the most likely place that they’ll acquire an Electirizer are in the Space-Time Distortions areas of Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Similar to all other items that appear in the Space-Time Distortion zones, Electirizers have a completely random chance of spawning, but players may find one to three at a time when they’re in the area. Likewise, Space-Time Distortions are completely random phenomena that can happen in any area of the Hisui region. While there isn’t a way to make them appear more frequently, Pokémon outbreaks may hinder how often Space-Time Distortions appear in that area.

Where To Buy An Electirizer In Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Electirizers can also be purchased in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, though not from the main vendor in Jubilife Village. Instead, players will have to either buy an Electricity Box from Ginter at the Ginkgo Guild Shop for 10,000 Poké Dollars or exchange 1400 Merit Points at the Trading Post. Merit Points in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can be accumulated by finding satchel scattered across the Hisui region from fallen players, and claimed from the Lost and Found menu once a satchel has been found.

Since Electivire’s best offensive trait is its physical Attack and Electabuzz’s best trait is its Special Attack, players will want to make sure that have the correct nature for the Pokémon they desire. An Adamant nature is best suited for Electivire because it raises its Attack stat while lowering its Special Attack, while a Modest nature is best for Electabuzz because it does the opposite. Nonetheless, the nature of an Electivire can also be changed after using an Electirizer if players have a Mint in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
