Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How to Get Every Starter

Pokémon Legends: Arceus – How to Get Every Starter

It is possible to get all three starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus without needing to trade with another player. The Pokémon series since its debut back in 1996 has always been a series to push for social interaction. Both Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue had different exclusive Pokémon that required trainers to trade with other players in order to collect them all. Those without friends or both copies of the game were unable to complete their collection. In the case of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, there’s only one title available when compared to the usual two.

Like other Pokémon games, the player will begin their journey by selecting a starter Pokémon. Pokémon Legends: Arceus gives the option between Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Rowlet, all Pokémon who have appeared as starter Pokémon in the past. Although, the game only allows players to choose one out of the three Pokémon. It can be incredibly difficult to determine which one to choose since this Pokémon will act as a partner from start to finish. Fortunately, Pokémon Legends: Arceus gives players the chance to get all three.

There are two different ways to obtain every starter in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, with the first method happening after completing the main story of the game. Head back to Professor Laventon in the Galaxy Hall and he will give the player the other two Pokémon they didn’t select. For example, trainers who picked Rowlet at the start will be given Cyndaquil and Oshawott as a gift. Not only that, but trainers can find them through Space-Time Distortion zones around the Hisui region.

Space-Time Distortions will begin to happen around the Hisui region after unlocking access to the second part of the map. They’re these giant purple bubbles that contain valuable Pokémon from other worlds on the inside. Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott can all appear within these Space-Time Distortions. Not only that, but it’s possible to get a shiny starter in Pokémon Legends: Arceus through this method. The Pokémon the player chooses at the start of the game is shiny locked, meaning no matter how many times the player resets the game, the Pokémon will always remain in its normal form.

Although, they can appear Shiny in the Space-Time Distortion bubbles. In other Pokémon titles, trainers would use breeding as a method for hunting Shiny Pokémon. Since breeding isn’t available in this title, trainers have found other Shiny Hunting methods. These are the locations where each Space-Time Distortion can be found.

  • Cyndaquil: Crimson Mirelands
  • Oshawott: Alabaster Icelands.
  • Rowlet: Mount Coronet.

It is possible to obtain them all within a single game without needing to trade. Pokémon: Arceus will alert players whenever a Space-Time Distortion appears on the map. They’re fairly hard to miss just because of how large they are. Collecting all three starter Pokémon is essential for completing the game’s Pokédex. As a reward for doing this, trainers will unlock the Shiny Charm and have the chance to capture Arceus. Continue to run through Space-Time Distortion until they all appear.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
