Pokémon GO: Brionne Raid Guide (Best Counters & Weaknesses)

Brionne has appeared in Raid Battles in Pokémon Go, and the best way to go about defeating this Pokémon is to bring along other Pokémon that counter it directly. Most Raid Battles in Pokémon Go require trainers to work together to defeat a common foe. This works incredibly well when fighting against either Mega Evolutions or Legendary Pokémon. Although smaller, pre-evolved Pokémon also do appear in Raid Battles. These are much easier to defeat and offer the opportunity to grind for candy or hunt for a Shiny Pokémon.

Brionne showed up in Raid Battles during Pokémon Go Fest 2022. This was a major in-game event that took place from June 4th to June 5th, offering trainers the chance to capture the mythical Pokémon Shaymin. Pokémon habitats were swapped periodically throughout the day, and Global Challenges were smashed by the dedicated community by the hour. Once the event came to a close, the Raid Battles rotated out in favor of new content.

Since Brionne is a Water-type Pokémon, it’s weak to both Electric- and Grass-type attacks. This is also a battle that can be done without the assistance of another player. Trainers looking to hunt for a Shiny Brionne will need to wait for a future update since it’s currently not available in the game. None of the starters from the Alola region have their Shiny forms just yet. Battling Brionne is mainly for trainers looking to grind for candy to evolve it into Primarina.

It’s recommended to wait until Shiny Popplio is added to the game before participating in any more Brionne Raid Battles. It’s a waste of Pokémon Go‘s Raid Passes since Shiny Popplio will likely cause Popplio to appear in the wild more frequently anyway. Instead, participate in one of the Legendary Pokémon battles. For June, trainers can battle against Mewtwo, Groudon, and Kyogre, all with their Shiny forms present in the game. It’s ultimately luck-based if it does appear, but it’s incredibly satisfying when it does.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android.
