Pokémon GO: August 2022 Spotlight Hour Guide

Pokémon GO: August 2022 Spotlight Hour Guide

Every Tuesday in August, from 6-7 local time, players can participate in Pokémon Go’s Spotlight Hour. During Spotlight Hour, a different Pokémon is featured each week. As a result, players can find the chosen Pokémon more frequently during Spotlight Hour, and the catch of catching a Shiny version of that Pokémon increases. Participating in Spotlight Hour will also help players get more Candy for evolving the featured Pokémon.

There were four Spotlight Hours in July for Pokémon Go, and each had special bonuses for the hour. Since there are five Tuesdays in August, players have even more chances to earn double experience, Candy, or Stardust. The bonus will change each week with the featured Pokémon.

The five featured Pokémon for August’s Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour are Hisuian Voltorb, Nidoran♀, Joltik, Nidoran♂, and Pidove. Hisuian Voltorb will be featured on August 2, Nidoran♀ on August 9, Joltik on August 16, Nidoran♂ on August 23, and Pidove on August 30. Both Nidorans and Pidove can also appear as a Shiny Pokémon, so players should log in from 6-7 on Tuesdays to try their luck. August is focusing on new Hisuian Pokémon in Pokémon Go, so players can catch the Hisuian form of Voltorb while they are available. Players looking for more events like Spotlight Hour can also log in from 6-7 on Wednesdays for Raid Hours.
