Pokémon BDSP: How To Evolve Duskclops Into Dusknoir

Pokémon BDSP: How To Evolve Duskclops Into Dusknoir

Players can evolve their Duskclops into Dusknoir in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. When the fourth generation of Pokémon was first released, a handful of Pokémon were given new evolutionary forms for players to hunt down. Outside leveling up or trading, each of these Pokémon has a unique evolutionary method. There are Pokémon that need to learn specific moves in order to evolve. For example, Piloswine can evolve into Mamoswine in Pokémon BDSP after learning Ancient Power. There are also Pokémon that need to be given evolution items before they can evolve. The Sinnoh region is full of hidden evolution items, and one of these is needed to evolve Duskclops into Dusknoir.

First, players will need to either find a Duskull or a Duskclops in Pokémon BDSP. Fortunately, both Pokémon can be found in the same place. Trainers will need to access the Pokémon BDSP Grand Underground and explore within dens to find them. Duskull has the chance to appear in Stargleam Cavern and Dazzling Cave. Once the player unlocks the National Dex, Dusclops will also begin to spawn in these same rooms. Alternatively, trainers can use the Poké Rader item. It allows players to find hidden Pokémon within the grass, including Duskclops.

In order to evolve Duskull into Duskclops in Pokémon BDSP, players will need to level it up to level 37. Once the player has a Duskclops, players can focus on evolving it into its final form, Dusknoir. The only way to obtain this Pokémon is by trading the Dusclops with another player while it is holding the Reaper Cloth item. This is one of the many new evolutionary items introduced in Generation IV.

Finding The Reaper Cloth in Pokémon BDSP

Fortunately, the Reaper Cloth appears in a few different locations in Pokémon BDSP:

  • Route 229: Players will need to cut down a tree near Ace Trainer Dana. On the other side will be the Reaper Cloth.
  • Turnback Cave: The Reaper Cloth will appear in the room where players can find and catch Giratina. If the player has reached the room by passing through three rooms only, the item will appear where Giratina was.
  • Acuity Lakefront: Players will need Rock Climb to find this Reaper Cloth. It is located near the entrance to Lake Acuity.

Dusknoir is an incredibly powerful Ghost-type Pokémon. Players looking to have a bulky Pokémon on their team should look into adding Dusknoir since its superior stats are Defense and Special Defense. It doesn’t have much HP but can work well for setting up Will-O-Wisp in battles to burn enemies. It is also required for players looking to complete the National Dex, which requires all 493 Pokémon, including Dusknoir, need to be captured.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now on Nintendo Switch.
