Pokémon: Adorable Video Shows Poodle Evolving Into Real-Life Arcanine

Park-goers encountered a special treat when one poodle-owner, after using animal-safe dyes, transformed their happy pup into the Pokémon Arcanine. With Pokémon being one of the world’s most popular properties, fans worldwide are finding new and fun ways to express their love for the pocket monsters. As of this writing, there are more than 900 kinds of Pokémon, and that number is set to increase when the ninth generation arrives in the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet later this year.

Not very long after the latest game in the franchise, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, was released for the Nintendo Switch, Scarlet and Violet were announced. A new generation of Pokémon, new lands to explore, and rideable Legendary Pokémon will help players travel the new game’s huge Europe-inspired open world. Scarlet and Violet will surely attract new and old players when it releases on November 18th, 2022. However, one dedicated fan has gone the extra mile to help bring a fan favorite dog Pokémon into the real world.

A poodle named Edea made many new dog and human friends at the park thanks to their owner using creative grooming to match the Pokémon Arcanine. The short video below, posted on Twitter by MindLuigi, highlights the benefits of creative grooming and how it does not negatively affect a dog’s socialization. The happy pup can be seen playing with other dogs and receiving a series of pats that look to be super effective in creating happiness and smiles. Animal-safe hair dyes were used to help Edea evolve into Arcanine.

This Real Life Arcanine Could Fetch Poké Balls

It would potentially be terrifying if Pokémon and their wide variety of abilities existed in the real world. Edea’s owner using proper training would help prevent the Arcanine replica from using a Fire Blast attack in the park. Still, less attentive trainers would lead to a world filled with dangerous Pokémon and chaos. While science has yet to come so far as to bring elemental abilities to household pets, fans will have to settle with creative grooming and adorable Pokémon plushies.

After seeing the closest thing to a living Arcanine available, many fans may have the desire to stylize their own pets to resemble their favorite Pokémon. However, reasonable pet owners must make sure they use animal safe hair-dyes. It would be best to find a professional animal groomer to assist them in giving their pets a Pokémon makeover in the safest way possible. Some creatures from the games would inspire more nightmares than smiles if seen in the real world. Still, new and adorable Pokémon will be introduced when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet releases on the Nintendo Switch this November.
