When it comes to Batman villains, Poison Ivy is one of The Dark Knight’s most formidable foes, with her complete and total command over plant life being an overpowered ability that consistently gives the members of the Bat-Family a hard go of it whenever their paths happen to cross. And now, in a new set of cosplay images, Poison Ivy finally defeats Batman and his family, showing off just how powerful she can be when backed into a corner.
A series of posts shared on Instagram by the Poison Ivy cosplayer Grace McClung (@graciethecosplaylass), as well as the various other Bat-Family cosplayers in the photos, this community collaboration is a perfect example of what’s possible when a bunch of nerds put their heads together to create something great.
Not just dressing as Poison Ivy, Grace has also cosplayed as Mystique, Phoenix, Jean Grey, Carnage, Black Cat, and more, with each creative talent embodying the various heroes of the Bat-Family collectively dressing as Spider-Man, Starfire, Raven, Green Lantern, and many more, all to stellar results.

Able to control and use any form of plant life that surrounds her in the field of battle, including but not limited to trees, vines, flowers, fungi, as well as the various pheromones and other properties inherent to these kinds of organisms, Pamela Isley aka Poison Ivy has been a thorn in Batman’s side ever since her debut in 1966. More recently shown in her ongoing solo series, Poison Ivy, by G. Willow Wilson and Marcio Takara, evolving into her ultimate cordyceps form, Ivy’s powers are nothing to scoff at, especially as she continues to fine-tune her abilities moving forward.
Shot by @cosnapography, the first photos show Grace taking command of and utilizing the plants around her for her own needs. Dressed in a comic-accurate green-leafed leotard, it’s not until Grace takes on the entire Bat-Family in the next post that she proves her worth as a villain. Putting Nightwing (@lucimakes), Batgirl (@itsaudrey.cos), Robin (@ryenscosplay), Orphan (@ren.tru), and Red Hood (@raymondweijland) under her thrall, a quick swipe through the rest of these images shows Grace restraining each member of the Bat-Family with her pheromones and tangled vines, a predicament none of them seem ready to overcome.
Poison Ivy Shows Off Her Plant-Based Superpowers In New Cosplay Images
Ivy has started to turn over a new leaf as she follows her main squeeze, Harley Quinn’s, footsteps in becoming a character who’s a little less evil around the edges, yet it can’t be denied that when she is at her villainous peak, Ivy is a powerful force to be reckoned with. Poison Ivy will continue to explore what kind of person she is in the pages of her solo series, so until she returns to the wicked ways she started off practicing, the cosplay community will be the only place to see her break bad.

Poison Ivy
Inducted into Batman’s rogues gallery in the 1960s, Poison Ivy is a metahuman who terrorizes Gotham with her poisonous touch and control over plant life. A misanthropic eco-terrorist, Poison Ivy is also depicted as an anti-hero, using her powers in attempts to regrow the environment in the wake of pollution and deforestation. Together with her lover Harley Quinn, the two are always ready to wreak havoc in Gotham.
