Picard Season 3 Showrunner Subtly Made Star Trek Enterprise History

Star Trek: Picard season 3 showrunner Terry Matalas subtly made USS Enterprise history. Matalas masterminded the acclaimed Picard season 3, which reunited the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation and wrapped up the stories of the USS Enterprise-D legends while also setting up the ‘next Next Generation.’ Matalas also wrote and directed the critically lauded Star Trek: Picard season 3 finale, “The Last Generation,” which was a perfect and resonant capstone to TNG.

On Twitter/X, Star Trek production design legend Michael Okuda wished Terry Matalas a Happy Birthday while noting that Terry is “the only Trek writer-director to preside over the introduction of not one, but TWO starships Enterprise!” Check out Okuda’s post below:

The two Starships Enterprise Michael Okuda is referring to is the Odyssey Class USS Enterprise-F, which debuted in Star Trek: Picard season 3, episode 9, “Vox,” and the USS Enterprise-G, which was Picard season 3’s hero ship, the USS Titan-A, rechristened. Of course, Picard season 3 also featured the return of the USS Enterprise-D, and the Fleet Museum on Athan Prime also housed other Enterprises: the NX-01 Enterprise and the USS Enterprise-A.
