Percy Jackson and the Olympians has gotten a major update from Rick Riordan for season 2, the creator of the series teasing when the new season will begin filming. Season 1 of the Greek mythology series was a major success for Disney+, quickly earning a season 2 renewal. The upcoming episodes will be based on Book 2 of Riordan’s series, titled The Sea of Monsters.
Now, Riordan himself has given an update about Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2 on his website, teasing how production of the show is going. The author said scripts are currently being written, with outlines for all eight episodes already drawn up. He also teases that, if everything goes according to plan, filming for the new season will begin in the fall of this year.
