Percy Jackson Spinoff Trilogy Closer To Finding New Home After Netflix Cancellation

Author Rick Riordan provides an update on The Kane Chronicles adaptation, his Percy Jackson and the Olympians spinoff trilogy. After the mega success of his Percy Jackson novels, which turned the history of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses into fun historical fiction, Riordan turned his attention to Ancient Egypt with The Kane Chronicles. This spinoff franchise, which follows adventurous siblings Carter and Sadie, was originally slated to become a trilogy of films at Netflix, but it was revealed earlier this year that the streamer had cancelled development on the movies.

Now, taking to Threads, Riordan reveals that efforts are still underway to find The Kane Chronicles a new home. Check out his comment below:

Having some good conversations about next steps for a Kane Chronicles adaptation. Nothing settled or finalized yet, but some exciting possibilities. Just fyi so you know we haven’t forgotten about Carter and Sadie!
