The exciting new AMC series Parish is almost here, and here is a full cast breakdown and character guide for viewers interested in checking the show out. AMC has been the home to some of the most critically acclaimed TV shows of all time, with series like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Men, and more calling the network home. The new Giancarlo Esposito series Parish is the next series hoping to reach this level of success, and from the looks of the upcoming series’ talent-filled cast, it is entirely possible that it could do so.

Parish is almost here, with the upcoming AMC series being one of the most hyped new shows of the 2024 broadcasting season. Interestingly, Parish actually started out as a BBC One three-part miniseries titled The Driver, with the 2014 version now getting an American adaptation starring Giancarlo Esposito. Parish season 1 follows Giancarlo Esposito’s Gracián “Gray” Parish, a retired driver who rejoins the criminal underworld after the death of his son. Giancarlo Esposito’s upcoming TV role is immensely exciting, and here are all of the cast members that will be acting alongside him.

Giancarlo Esposito As Gracián “Gray” Parish

Actor: Giancarlo Esposito, 65, was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on April 26, 1958, with the actor making a massive name for himself in the television industry over the past few decades. Esposito’s early career was defined by his frequent appearances in director Spike Lee’s movies, with him getting his big break in the 1988 film School Daze. Although Esposito has appeared in other movies like Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X, he has become most well-known for his role as Gus Fring in the Breaking Bad franchise, with him also playing roles in shows like The Boys and The Mandalorian.

Character: The first trailer for Parish reveals a lot about Giancarlo Esposito’s Gray Parish, with him seemingly being a retired criminal driver who is fighting against being pulled back into the seedy underbelly of his former life. Parish left his former life of crime an undetermined amount of time ago, with him instead choosing to become a family man. However, Parish is enlisted for one last job that requires a talented driver like himself. The death of Parish’s son sends Parish on a dark quest for revenge, with the series following him as he attempts to bring down those who wronged him.

Actor: Arica Himmel, 19, was born in New York City, New York on February 23, 2005. Himmel got her start in various TV and movie roles before getting her big break as a series regular on Mixed-ish, the spinoff of the incredibly popular sitcom Black-ish. She plays a young Rainbow “Bow” Johnson in the franchise, and while Mixed-ish ended after two seasons, Arica Himmel’s career is continuing strong with the upcoming AMC series Parish.

Actor: Paula Malcolmson, 53, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on June 1, 1970. Malcolmson spent the first part of her career playing supporting roles in incredibly popular films like Tombstone and The Green Mile, although she didn’t truly get her big break until making the jump to TV. Malcolmson scored leading roles on shows like Lost and Deadwood, with this continuing later into her career in shows like Sons of Anarchy and Ray Donovan, as well as the new Giancarlo Esposito TV show Parish.

Skeet Ulrich As Colin

Actor: Skeet Ulrich, 54, was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on January 20, 1970. Ulrich has appeared in a variety of popular films and TV shows throughout his career, but he got his big break playing the villainous Ghostface killer Billy Loomis in 1996’s Scream. Ulrich has reprised his Scream role as the franchise has continued, but he also made waves with his performance as F.P. Jones in Riverdale.

The two seem to frequently feud, however, creating an interesting dynamic for the series.
