The twice SAG-nominated cast of Ozark is amongst the best dramatic ensembles currently on television, with seven Emmy nominations for acting and two wins from breakout star Julia Garner. Now, in its final season, fans of the show can find comfort knowing that its actors have appeared in many other entertaining projects.

From soap operas to blockbusters to everything in between, the actors from the hit crime thriller have been in it all. Looking at their large catalog of work, here are the most recognizable roles from the cast of Ozark.

Jason Bateman – Arrested Development

Before he played cartel launderer Marty Byrde in Ozark, Jason Bateman was the head of another famous TV family. In Arrested Development, Jason Bateman is in one of his best roles as Michael Bluth, the middle son of a once-wealthy family who tries to hold everything together, despite his relatives’ wild antics.

Even though it was a critical hit, the show was canceled by Fox after three seasons in 2006. However, Netflix revived the show in 2013 for two more seasons, the second of which aired from 2018 to 2019. The rest of the cast includes Will Arnett (Bojack Horseman), Michael Cera (Superbad), and Tony Hale (Veep).

Laura Linney – The Truman Show

Laura Linney starred, in one of her best roles, as Jim Carrey’s “wife” in The Truman Show before she played political powerbroker Wendy Byrde in Ozark. The story follows the titular character, Truman Burbank, played by Carrey, as he comes to the realization that his entire life is the workings of a reality show.

The movie was a commercial and critical hit, receiving three Oscar nominations after a successful box office and awards circuit run. The rest of the cast includes Ed Harris (Westworld), Noah Emmerich (The Americans), and Holland Taylor (Two And A Half Men).

Sofia Hublitz – MasterChef Junior

Before she played Charlotte, the eldest kid in the Byrde family, Sofia Hublitz appeared in the first season of MasterChef Junior, hosted by Gordon Ramsay. A spinoff of MasterChef, the show follows the same format with kids aged 8 to 13. Hublitz was eliminated in the fourth episode, placing 8th overall.

The show has run for seven seasons and is set to return for its eighth in March 2022. MasterChef Junior was Hublitz’s first appearance on TV, and after having small roles in Louis and Horace And Pete, she joined the cast of Ozark in 2017.

Skylar Gaertner – Daredevil

Before he played Jonah, the youngest kid in the Byrde family, Skylar Gaertner played a young version of the titular superhero on Daredevil. The show follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with abilities that allow him to fight for good in and out of the courtroom.

Gaertner appears primarily in scenes that explain the origins of Murdock’s blindness, fighting skills, and relationship with his father. The show ran for three seasons on Netflix before its run came to an end, but recent events point to a possible return of the hero in Disney’s MCU.

Julia Garner – The Americans

Julia Garner had an important recurring role on The Americans before she played Ruth, the scrappy young mother figure of the Langmore clan. For four seasons, she played Kimmy Breland, the daughter of an important CIA group leader and an unknowing source for a Russian spy, Philip Jennings (Matthew Rhys).

The Americans ran for six seasons, winning four Emmys along the way. Despite dips in the show’s viewership numbers, the show was never canceled and its final episode is considered one of the best TV finales of the 2010s. Other notable cast members include Keri Russell (Felicity), Costa Ronin (Homeland), and Margo Martindale (August: Osage County).

Lisa Emery – Jessica Jones

Before she played Darlene Snell, the irritable and unpredictable heroin producer on Ozark, Lisa Emery already had a long and established career in the off-Broadway theater scene. Lately, she’s become a more recognizable face in television, most notably as Kilgrave’s mother in Jessica Jones.

The show ran for three seasons before it came to its end, and includes Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad), Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), and David Tennant in one of his best roles. In addition to Jessica Jones, Emery has recently appeared on The SinnerMadam Secretary, and Blindspot.

Charlie Tahan – I Am Legend

Charlie Tahan was a child actor, one who happened to act opposite Will Smith in I Am Legend in one of his first roles. The story follows Dr. Robert Neville (Smith) and his efforts to find a cure for the virus that infected everyone but him in New York City.

Tahan plays Ethan, a boy from Philadelphia immune to the virus who ends up in New York. The movie performed well at the box office and mostly received positive reviews. The rest of the cast includes Alice Braga (City Of God) and Willow Smith, Will Smith’s daughter.

Kevin L. Johnson – American Made

Kevin L. Johnson had a handful of bit parts in television shows and films before he played Sam Dermody, a local real estate agent often taken advantage of by the Byrdes. Of these projects, his biggest role was as Agent Horace Wainwright opposite Tom Cruise in American Made.

The film, directed by Doug Liman (Edge Of Tomorrow), was a critical and financial success and co-stars Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina), Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights), and Caleb Landry Jones (Get Out), among others.

Felix Solis – The Good Wife

Before he played Omar Novarro, the reptilian cartel lord who controls the fate of the Byrde family, Felix Solis appeared in many television shows and movies, the most high profile of which was The Good Wife. In the show, Solis played no-nonsense Detective Kevin Rodriguez.

The Good Wife ran for seven seasons and was one of CBS’s most popular shows while it aired. It won five Emmys and includes Juliane Margulies (ER), Josh Charles (Dead Poets Society), and Christine Baranski (Chicago), the last of whom has had their character spinned-off into a new series called The Good Fight.

Tom Pelphrey – Guiding Light

Tom Pelphrey started out as a soap opera actor in Guiding Light. For more than 100 episodes, Pelphrey played Jonathan Randall, a character for which he won two Daytime Emmys.

Following his run on the show, Pelphrey landed guest parts on a handful of shows before landing larger roles on the television shows Banshee and Iron Fist. Other prominent actors to appear on Guiding Light during its run include Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), Frank Grillo (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), and Sharon Leal (Dreamgirls).
