Gamers have had just about a week to sink their teeth into Square Enix and People Can Fly’s Outriders. The game fuses Gears of War‘s third-person gunplay with the ability and item mechanics from famed looter-shooters, like Destiny and Borderlands. Players can jump into the mystifying landscapes of planet Enoch on their own or with two other teammates in search of Outriders‘ unique legendary weapons. These items are the rarest and most powerful rewards the game offers and requires gamers to get far along into the campaign before they start seeing them drop.
Since a vast majority of Outriders‘ legendary weapons can only be acquired through random drops, players will need to repeatedly complete story or side missions on greater difficulties until they get lucky. The game uses a World Tier system that lets users crank up the difficulty in exchange for better drop rates. Newcomers will begin at World Tier 1 and reach World Tier 15 once they’re deep into the story. Unlocking a new Outriders World Tier results in a reward that players can claim immediately, two of which are guaranteed legendary weapons.
Outriders’ World Tier rewards will be displayed as a golden chest at the bottom of the newly unlocked World Tier. Once claimed, the items and resources they gift will instantly appear in players’ inventory, including a legendary weapon called The Wicker. Players will receive the weapon once they’ve reached World Tier 12, and it’s the first guaranteed legendary weapon drop Outriders offers. There’s more legendary gear up for grabs once players reach World Tier 15, which is the highest difficulty level in Outriders and takes substantially more effort to unlock compared to The Wicker. Outriders Easiest Legendary Weapon: The Wicker
The Wicker is an SMG in Outriders that offers incredibly high damage output and fantastic stability to ensure all of its shots land on target. SMGs are typically most effective in short-to-mid range battles, but Outriders’ The Wicker comes with two unique perks that will vastly boost players’ especially if it’s the first Legendary weapon they’ve encountered.

Ash is a status effect in Outriders that immobilizes enemies and renders them unable to perform any actions, and will also interrupt channeled abilities. The Wicker will spread this status effect thanks to ricochet, which means players can stun large groups of clustered enemies without using any skills. This weapon is even more effective when used with Outriders‘ Pyromancer class because of their Ash Breaker talent tree, which allows Pyromancers to deal more damage to enemies afflicted by Ash.
The Wicker is one of the many legendary weapons in Outriders that gamers can stumble upon. Once World Tier 4 is reached, Outriders begins to give players a chance to loot legendary gear. Every World Tier higher than that further increases those odds, so it’s possible that players might find a legendary weapon before they unlock The Wicker at World Tier 12. Still, that will likely require some degree of grinding through completed missions, which can be avoided if they focus on unlocking Tier 12 first. Plus, once gamers have one legendary weapon, farming for more gear becomes substantially easier.
