Pieyon

Following Oshi no Ko episode 4’s ending, episode 5, “Reality Dating Show”, saw Aqua convince Kana to become an idol with Ruby. Later, while Aqua gets started on Kaburagi’s reality dating show, Ruby and Kana do a cross-promotion with an intensive fitness YouTuber named Pieyon to help get their names out there. Kana is impressed with how Ruby, whom she had written off as an amateur, was able to match her physicality, and as a show of good faith, she lets Ruby name their idol group, with Ruby deciding to reuse the name of Ai’s group, B Komachi.

Oshi No Ko Episode 6 Has Two Different Stories To Manage

Oshi no Ko Poster

The exact details of Oshi no Ko episode 6 aren’t known at this time, but something that can be assumed is that episode 6 will has two different stories to tell; Aqua entering a reality dating show to eventually learn more about Ai, and Ruby finally getting a start on her burgeoning idol career. Both stories are only just getting started, so rather than focus on one while the other falls into the background, it’s more likely that episode 6 will split its time between both stories.

Oshi no Ko moving in that direction would ultimately be the best decision for the show. Up until now, the series has been focused primarily on Aqua’s quest for vengeance with Ruby being largely ignored by the narrative, but with both of them having active stories, there’s finally a chance for both of them to be in focus. Whether their respective stories will intersect in any way is still up in the air, but it’s still a great direction for Oshi no Ko to go in, regardless.

Look for Oshi no Ko episode 6 when it streams on HIDIVE on May 17!
