Only Murders in the Building season 4 will not occur in New York City for the first time in the show’s history. The comedy’s starring trio were first brought together by living in the Arconia apartment building in New York City, and their fondness for true-crime podcasts inspired them to solve murders that occurred in their building. From various New York City neighborhoods to the importance of Broadway in season 3, this urban setting has been integral to the series so far.
While speaking with Deadline, Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich confirmed that Only Murders in the Building season 4 will take place in Los Angeles instead of New York City. Read Erwich’s comments below:
Well, I’m very excited to see Steve, Martin and Selena take a little break from the apartment building and come to Los Angeles. So in the same way that John Hoffman used the canvas of Broadway to tell what I think was one of the most unique seasons you’ve ever seen, the same unique Only Murders take will be applied to Los Angeles, which I’m really excited about.
