One-Punch Man’s Garou Vs. Bang Turns Bloody in Gruesome New Fanart

Warning! Spoilers for One Punch Man below

The One-Punch Man manga is filled with powerful heroes and villains, but one of the biggest match-ups featured Bang taking on his former student, Garou, in an epic battle between good and evil. In a new piece of colored fan art from @akumanai, the muscle-filled Bang strikes Garou, the hero hunter, with a powerful bloody punch that shows how strong he truly is.

One-Punch Man by One and Yusuke Murata is one of the most popular manga series in the world since debuting back in 2009. The manga follows Saitama, a hero capable of defeating his enemies with a single punch in a world filled with heroes and villains. Readers are introduced to some incredibly powerful friends and foes throughout the series, including master martial artists Bang and Bomb. The duo is part of the Saitama Group alongside Genos, Fabuki, King, and Genos. However, one of Bang’s most prominent storylines was when he fought his former student turned hero hunter, Garou.

In Chapter 148 of One-Punch Man, Bang took on his former student Garou, who took on his most monstrous form. After defeating his brother Bomb, Bang takes on the monster, with the clash proving to be an even bout. However, Bang would eventually realize that Garou has become a much better fight with an increased power level since he became more of a monster. Before being defeated by his former student, Bang manages to land a massive punch on Garou, leaving the villain’s face bloody. In a stunning piece of fan art from @akumanai coloring the moment, the powerful punch is recreated as Bang lands an enormous blow on the hero-hunting villain.

@akumanai’s colors and details on the original One-Punch Man piece of art from Yusuke Murata emphasize the spectacular moment and add depth to the image, as Bang lands a powerful punch against Garou. The bright red colors pulsing throughout the villain and blood dripping from his face, and darkened cloudy background really highlight how mammoth the strike was, even if Garou would get the final laugh by defeating his former teacher.

While on the surface, One-Punch Man seems like a very one-note series given Saitama’s powers, the characters help create a world where a hero like him could exist. Garou vs. Bang proved to be an incredible fight that got appropriately bloody. It remains one of the best One-Punch Man fights for a reason, and it’s no surprise it continues to inspire art like the colorized image above.
