One-Punch Man Creator ONE Debuts His New Series, Bug Ego

According to Anime News Network, Bug Ego is about two high school boys, Hitsujiya and Kokudou. Kokudou is a loner but is befriended by the new student Hitsujiya. Wanting to help him navigate school and life, Hitsujiya teaches him about “secret tricks”, which are just life lessons. As a way of thanking him, Kokudou teaches Jitsujiya about secret tricks of his own, which are anomalies that happen in the world. These secret tricks can be something as simple as an umbrella that keeps reappearing in the same spot every day to rewinding time.

ONE has always been a remarkable writer, but Bug Ego surpasses expectations with its great plot and unique premise. It is a heartwarming display of friendship as Hitsujiya still manages to trust Kokudou despite a huge misunderstanding that ruined his life. The art in the manga is also strong as well, which makes sense considering that the lead artist is an experienced veteran in the manga industry. A lot happens in chapter one, and it promises to hook viewers in with the explosive developments. Overall, fans would be wise to give the series a go before it eventually blows up.
