Although the Emperors are seen as the strongest pirates in the world, not everyone is equal in strength, as everyone has different skills, abilities, and experiences. Buggy Became An Emperor Through Sheer Coincidence

The most surprising and unexpected addition to the Four Emperors is Buggy who was somehow added to the lineup after the defeat of two out of four Emperors. Buggy is the captain of the Buggy Pirates, the leader of the pirate dispatch organization “Buggy’s Delivery”, a former member of the Seven Warlords, and the ex-apprentice of the legendary Roger Pirates.
Buggy uses the Paramecia-type Chop-Chop Fruit, which allows him to split himself into pieces, and be immune to slicing and cutting attacks, including those done by Dracule Mihawk, the strongest swordsman. Although Buggy is always seen as a weak and comedic character, it has been implied a lot of times that Buggyisstronger and more dangerous than he shows, making his potential a total mystery.
Monkey D. Luffy’s Devil Fruit & Victory at Wano Earned Him the Title

Together with Buggy, Luffy is among the two newest additions to the lineup of Four Emperors, where they got added after the defeat of Kaido and Big Mom. Luffy uses one of the most powerful awakened Devil Fruits, the Mythical Zoan Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika. Without the usage of Haki or Seastone Prisms, he has virtually complete immunity to blunt force trauma, such as that caused by hand-to-hand combat, blunt weapons, and even cannonballs.
He can also make a fist the size of an island, and can even grab thunder from the skies. Luffy is one of the few people who can use all three types of Haki and can even infuse Conqueror’s Haki into his attacks, particularly on his limbs. Because of this, he was able to fight Kaido on par and eventually defeat him, but not without the help of the Samurai, Yamato, and the Worst Generation.

Marshall D. Teach is the Only Known Character with Two Devil Fruits

The captain/admiral of the Blackbeard Pirates is Teach, also referred to as Blackbeard. He was the first captain to quickly advance to the position of Emperor after starting his crew. The strongest Paramecia-type Quake-Quake Fruit, which was formerly Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit, and the Logia-type Dark-Dark Fruit are two Devil Fruits that he currently possesses, making him the first and only known person in history to have used two Devil Fruits, an act thought to be impossible by most people.
With his Dark-Dark Fruit, Blackbeardcan nullify other Devil Fruit powers and can even absorb and crush an entire town in a vortex. After obtaining the Quake-Quake Fruit, he managed to tilt the land, sea, and sky with it, although he didn’t have control of it. When he was a part of the Whitebeard Pirates, he managed to scar Shanks in a fair fight. He can also use Armament and Observation Haki, which means he is not totally reliant on his Devil Fruits.
Shanks Possesses Formidable Haki

Shanks is the captain of the Red-Hair Pirates and the only Emperor who held the same position from the start of the series. Shanks is also the most enigmatic Emperor because little is known about his goals or true character, and hardly any of his abilities have been demonstrated. However, his mere presence was enough to convince the Marines and Celestial Dragons to accede to his requests and even chase an Admiral away.
The only times his abilities were shown were when he used his Conqueror’s Haki to scare the Sea King that ate his arm, when he hit Admiral Greenbull with it, and when he fought the Kid Pirates. He is one of One Piece’s strongest swordsmen, as he managed to stop Akainu’s attack with his sword Gryphon, and clash this sword against Whitebeard’s Naginata, which caused the sky to split due to their Conqueror’s Haki. From these alone, we can infer that Shanks is among the strongest Emperors, and he hasn’t even shown a quarter of his abilities yet.
Charlotte Linlin Built a Massive Empire

Charlotte Linlin, often known as Big Mom, is one of One Piece‘s most powerful villains and one of the Four Emperors of the Seas who accomplished in building Totto Land, an empire made up of 35 islands. She was once a member of the Rocks Pirates, which was once the deadliest pirate band, together with Whitebeard, Kaido, and Shiki.
At a very young age, she garnered a bounty of 500 million berries, demonstrating the serious threat she posed to the Government right away. His enormous tenacity is evident from the multiple arrests, acts of torture, and attempts at execution he has faced throughout his life. He was also referred to as the “Strongest Creature in the World.” It took multiple strong people to eventually defeat him, such as the Scabbards and the Worst Generation.

Edward Newgate Was the Pirate King’s Equal

Former Emperor Edward Newgate, commonly known as Whitebeard, was the captain of the now-disbanded Whitebeard Pirates who tragically experienced one of the saddest deaths in One Piece. He was a past user of Quake-Quake Fruit, which is thought to be the strongest Devil Fruit for the Paramecia class, and was lauded as the “Strongest Man in the World” and “Man Closest to One Piece.” He was also seen as someone equal to the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger
Others asserted that Whitebeard had the power to end the world. Whitebeard’s ability to tilt the ocean, create tsunamis, and fight tens of thousands of foes on his own during the Paramount War is evidence of his strength. The fact that he is considerably weaker in the war than he was in his heyday, which shows fans how strong he was in his prime, makes it better.
