NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti Leak Reveals 4,352 CUDA Cores & 8GB Memory

Leaked specifications of NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 Ti GPU have surfaced online, leaving gamers and potential buyers disappointed. The 4060 Ti, which promises to be one of the more affordable Lovelace graphics cards, will be a new addition to the RTX 4000 series that was announced in September 2022 following months of leaks and rumors. Only two cards in the RTX 4000 series have been revealed — the RTX 4090 and RTX 4080. NVIDIA is working on several other cards in the lineup, including the top-of-the-line RTX 4090 Ti launching next year.Well-known tipster Kopite7kimi has revealed the critical tech specs of NVIDIA’s upcoming budget graphics card. The leak suggests that the card will be based on the AD106-350-A1 GPU and have 4,352 CUDA Cores, 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM at 18Gbps, and a rated TGP of 220W. The tipster also says that it will have a “very short” reference board and use the new 16-pin CEM5 connector. The 4060 Ti still promises to be more powerful than the RTX 4060 leaked last month. The tweet was first spotted by VideoCardz, which also pointed out that the card might have a 128-bit memory bus, giving it a 288GB/s bandwidth

There are no more details about the upcoming GPU, but gamers are already expressing displeasure about the specs. Many social media users say that 8GB of VRAM is not enough for modern graphics cards and are slamming NVIDIA for not offering more memory. Others are displeased about the GPU choice and are questioning NVIDIA’s decision to go with the AD106 instead of AD104, which would have made for a more powerful card. Some also believe that the underwhelming RTX 4060 Ti specs suggest that NVIDIA is no longer worried about AMD’s RDNA 3 cards.

The specs of the graphics card are an early leak and should be taken with a pinch of salt. That said, Kopite7kimi has a proven track record and is one of the more respected PC hardware leakers, so the latest leak could be pretty accurate. Still, NVIDIA has a habit of changing things at the last moment, as was seen with the RTX 4080 12GB debacle. The company had to cancel the card following massive protests from customers after NVIDIA’s benchmark results showed that it was about 30 percent slower than the RTX 4080 16GB.

Kopite7kimi has since revealed that NVIDIA might re-badge the canceled RTX 4080 12GB graphics card to RTX 4070 Ti. So it remains to be seen whether the eventual RTX 4060 Ti will be released with the leaked specs or if NVIDIA will make changes to it before its launch.
