New Suits TV Show Confirmed In The Works With Original Creator After Dominating Netflix Charts

Following the show’s explosive success on Netflix, a new Suits TV show is in the works at NBCUniversal. Created by Aaron Korsh, the legal drama followed those who worked in a New York City corporate law firm as they used clever tactics to win lawsuits and close cases, primarily focusing on star attorney Harvey Specter and his protégé Mike Ross, despite the latter never graduating law school. Led by Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams, Suits was generally a success through its nine-season run on USA Network, which even led to a short-lived spinoff centered on Gina Torres’ Jessica Pearson.

Deadline has brought word that NBCUniversal is pushing forward with a new Suits TV show. The decision comes a few months after the legal drama first premiered on Netflix and began dominating the streamer’s viewership charts, breaking previous records held by the Tim Burton-produced Wednesday show. Korsh is said to be returning to develop the new show, which is said to neither be a reboot or revival, but rather a story set in the larger universe of the original.
