New Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Trailer Just Confirmed A Lot Of Leaks

The recently released third trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet shared on The Official Pokémon YouTube channel unveiled many details about the RPG’s new gameplay features. The update’s biggest reveal was that Gen 9 would be replacing the long-running breeding system with a new Picnic feature and that Girafarig would be getting an evolution. Fans who had been paying close attention to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet leaks and rumors immediately recognized the new Girafarig evolution from leaked screenshots that were posted in July.

Following the trailer, players started to sift through the mysterious account that leaked Girafarig and confirmed that the user had also revealed the new Picnic and breeding mechanic as early as August. Because the leaker deletes all of his social media posts, news outlet Centro LEAKS has been keeping running a tally of everything the leaker has posted, and almost everything has now been confirmed by official Scarlet and Violet trailer updates.

Leaks Point To New Paradox Pokémon

With all of this being true, it appears that Scarlet and Violet will also feature a new monster type called Paradox Pokémon. The leaker claimed that a handful of popular Pokémon will get either an “Ancient” or “Future” variant, based on which version of the Gen 9 RPG players decides to pick up. Considering the same insider also leaked Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s Wiglett evolution far in advance, the new Paradox forms seem to be likely.

This isn’t the first time the Pokémon franchise has been rocked by leaks. Going back to Gen 6 Sun and Moon games there have been leaks from insiders that have teased information through riddles. And in 2021, almost everything about Pokémon Legends: Arceus was revealed online months before its release, including the entire list of the game’s new Hisuian forms. However, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet‘s leaks seem to be much larger in scope, as the mysterious account has continued to leak major aspects of the game for months.
