New MCU Villain Sets Up ANOTHER Daredevil Appearance

New MCU Villain Sets Up ANOTHER Daredevil Appearance

The introduction of a new MCU villain sets up an appearance from Daredevil in Disney+’s Ironheart show. As if Charlie Cox’s Daredevil doesn’t have enough to do in the Multiverse Saga, Marvel may have even more roles in the cards for the character. Various announcements have made it abundantly clear that The Man Without Fear will be quite busy over the next few years.

His cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home was the start of a new era for Cox’s character. Not only will the actor reprise his role with guest appearances in both She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Echo, but he’ll also headline his own series in Phase 5 of the MCU. Daredevil: Born Again will send Matt Murdock on an 18-episode journey confirmed to include his nemesis from his Netflix series, Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). In addition to all that, Cox will get to voice Daredevil in the animated Marvel Studios show, Spider-Man: Freshman Year. So far, Daredevil is confirmed to have at least five MCU shows and movies under his belt by the end of the Multiverse Saga.

Recent reveals at the D23 Expo 2022 suggest that a sixth MCU project is a candidate for a Daredevil appearance. It’s been confirmed that Anthony Ramos will play the Hood in Ironheart. On the surface, a show about Riri Williams, a teenager who builds a suit that rivals Iron Man’s armor, doesn’t feel like an obvious place for Daredevil, but Hood’s inclusion makes him showing up a real possibility for the Phase 5 series. Hood’s role as a crime boss and place in the Marvel Universe makes any story involving him an excellent fit for the MCU’s Daredevil, or even Kingpin.

How Daredevil Could Work In Ironheart’s MCU Show

New MCU Villain Sets Up ANOTHER Daredevil Appearance

Even though the Hood is known for using magical equipment in Marvel Comics, he’s a key figure in the stories of several street-level heroes. Sometime after establishing himself as a villain, Hood became unsatisfied with his standing in the criminal underworld and developed great ambitions for his future. Looking to become the new Kingpin, the Hood built his own criminal empire and filled it with formidable supervillains, thus making it arguably more dangerous than what Wilson Fisk created. With these sorts of goals, it would make perfect sense for the MCU’s Hood to garner the attention of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in Ironheart.

If the Hood sets his sights on becoming the most powerful crime lord in New York City in the MCU, a team-up with Daredevil could be in order for Marvel’s Ironheart. As a young hero, Riri could benefit greatly from the presence of a much older and experienced superhero. And with him being someone who often goes up against crime bosses, gangsters, and street-level supervillains, Daredevil would indeed be an ideal ally for Riri Williams to have on her side when she takes on the Hood in Ironheart.
