New ‘Ghost Rider 2’ & ‘Project X’ TV Spots

One cursed superhero will try to stop hell from conquering the Earth, while a group of teens will try to raise hell in their own backyard. Such are the premises of the upcoming films Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance and Project X – and today we have a slew of new TV spots for each film to share with you.

Ghost Rider 2 picks up years after the events of the first film; we now find Johnny Blaze (Nic Cage) hiding out in Eastern Europe, trying to keep his Ghost Rider curse under control. His self-imposed exile is interrupted when a warrior monk (Idris Elba) comes asking for a favor: The Devil (Ciarán Hinds) is seeking out a young boy named Danny Ketch (Hint) to be his human vessel. If Blaze will unleash The Rider and stop Satan and his minions from corrupting the young boy, the monk promises that the Ghost Rider curse will be broken. And so, Blaze rides off into the darkness to save the day…hopefully for the last time.

Project X

The Hangover director Todd Phillips had an idea: produce a party movie from a found-footage perspective, featuring a cast of unknowns engaged in some of the craziest, most outrages house party set pieces ever put to film. The result of that experiment is Project X, a film that – judging by the trailer footage – will indeed be in contention for the title of “Craziest party movie ever.” Other descriptions of the film have included such soon-to-be-repeated-ad-nauseam quips like “Superbad on crack.”

Check out the latest Project X TV spots below to judge for yourself if this party is worth all the hype:

Flaming motorcycles, teens running reckless, supernatural battles and ball-punching little men? If nothing else, the first quarter of 2012 is going to offer a ‘bit of fun for everyone’ buffet of cinematic entertainment.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance will be in theaters (2D and 3D) on February 17, 2012.

Project X will be in theaters on March 2, 2012.
