As was proven this past Sunday during the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, the Twilight series remains as mega-popular as ever and looks to extend its blockbuster streak this month with the next entry in the vampire/werewolf/teen drama, Eclipse.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will continue to develop the love triangle between gloomy teenager Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), broody 100 + year old vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson), and noble but hairy werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner) that was set in motion during the previous Twilight flick, New Moon.
Complicating the trio’s romantic entanglements is the vengeful Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her army of super vampires, who are prepped to wreck havoc on the residents of Forks, Washington. This matter – which eventually leads to an epic battle between Victoria’s minions and Jacob’s fellow werewolves – was the focus of the recent Eclipse TV spots and has been so for much of the film’s marketing campaign in general.
Twilight fans that are less interested in the dark atmosphere and action of Eclipse and more keen on seeing their favorite characters back on the big screen, can take comfort from the new photo gallery we’ve set up for you to peruse.
These pics include new looks at Stewart, Pattinson, Lautner, Howard, the villainous Jane of the Volturi (Dakota Fanning), and supporting characters played by the likes of Anna Kendrick (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Jackson Rathbone (The Last Airbender). Oh yes, and Lautner’s fellow werewolves in human form, once again demonstrating their apparent allergy to t-shirts.
