New Behind-The-Scenes Look At Toy Story 3

Are the recent character-centric trailers for Toy Story 3 not enough to get you excited for the movie? Well lucky for you, Disney/Pixar has released yet another look at the threequel, this time in the form of a featurette that takes us behind-the-scenes of the Sunnyside day care center where all the toys end up when Andy heads off to college.

The featurette gives us more of a look at three of the characters featured heavily in Toy Story 3: Ken (voiced by Michael Keaton), Lots-O’-Huggin’-Bear (voiced by Ned Beatty) and Barbie (voiced by Jodi Benson), with the voice actors and some of the crew chiming in on why the voices suit the characters and so forth.

The more I see for Toy Story 3 the more and more I look forward to it. Toy Story is just one of those special movies that I cherish from my childhood and therefore Toy Story 3 is one of my most anticipated movies of the year.

The threequel sees the return of many familiar voices from the previous two movies: Tom Hanks (Woody); Tim Allen (Buzz); Joan Cusack (Jessie); John Ratzenberger (Hamm); R. Lee Ermey (Sergeant); Wallace Shawn (Rex); and Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head).

However, the film also welcomes some new voices to the fold: Michael Keaton (Ken); Timothy Dalton (Mr. Pricklepants); Blake Clark (voicing Slinky Dog, replacing Jim Varney who passed away); Kristin Schaal; Whoopie Goldberg; Bonnie Hunt; and Jeff Garlin. Lee Unkrich (Toy Story 2, Monster’s Inc., Finding Nemo) is directing.

Toy Story 3 opens in theaters on June 18th, 2010.
