New Anakin Skywalker Hot Toys Action Figure Is The Best Hayden Christensen Likeness We’ve Ever Seen

Hayden Christensen is perfectly captured in Hot Toys’ first look at the Anakin Skywalker action figure from Disney+’s Ahsoka. Christensen debuted as the galaxy-changing Jedi during his late padawan years in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, before showing his fall to the dark side in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Over 20 years after his first appearance, Christensen played Anakin and Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, before appearing as a force spirit in Ahsoka to guide his former apprentice in finally completing her Jedi training.

After Christensen’s return to the Star Wars galaxy in Ahsoka, Hot Toys unveiled their own action figure based on his armored appearance from the early battlegrounds of the Clone Wars. Check out the images below:

With an incredible, near-perfect head sculpt capturing Christensen’s likeness, the 1/6th-scale figure features a desert display stand, seven alternate hands, two optional lightsaber blades, an alternate hilt with an LED light-up feature, blaster bolt deflection effects, and a holoprojector with three characters. Priced at $265.00, the Hot Toys action figure for Anakin looks perfectly posed alongside his Jedi and Clone Trooper allies.

Star Wars’ Disney+ Clone Wars Live-Action Moments Have Been A Highlight Of Recent Shows

Alongside the previously revealed Captain Rex and Ariana Greenblatt’s Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano from Ahsoka, Hot Toys’ Anakin Skywalker will leave Clone Wars enthusiasts thrilled. While the majority of the released series have taken place during the Dark Times period between the Star Wars prequel and original trilogies or the Post-Return of the Jedi New Republic era, the shows have been able to incorporate earlier events into the shows. This can be seen with Ahsoka’s World between Worlds trip into her past in “Shadow Warrior,” which depicted the battles of Teth, Ryloth, and Mandalore from the animated series.

Even when not depicting moments from The Clone Wars animated series, other Star Wars shows have utilized the era’s lore to build their world. New physical sets of Phase 2 Clone Trooper armor were developed for key flashbacks in Ahsoka, Andor, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and The Mandalorian. The CIS’s droid armies were featured in Din Djarin’s backstory and Seperatist remnants still lingered in the post-Empire galaxy as seen in season 3’s “Guns for Hire.” While these shows primarily focus on Original Trilogy factions, these elements are a perfect inclusion for fans who entered Star Wars with the prequel era.

For those who grew up with the Star Wars prequel trilogy and its surrounding media, Lucasfilm’s recent celebrations of the era in Ahsoka and other series have been a welcome surprise. After the initial negative reception, Christensen has been embraced by audiences who were impacted by his portrayal of the tragic Anakin Skywalker and the wider fandom, making his Ahsoka role one of the show’s most celebrated moments. As such, Hot Toys’ recreation of the actor in Jedi General armor is easily one of the most impressive Star Wars figures available.
