New Amazon Spy Comedy Tops Streaming Charts 1 Week After Release, Beats Oscar Movies & HBO Drama

The new spy comedy, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, is off to a hot start as it charts ahead of Oscar movies and an HBO drama. The eight-episode show, co-created by Atlanta writer Francesca Sloane and Donald Glover, is a TV adaptation of the Doug Liman movie starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. The story sees Glover and PEN15 star Maya Erskine as two spies paired together to pose as a married couple while carrying out missions and details how the dangerous job impacts their relationship.

Reelgood confirms that Mr. & Mrs. Smith took the top spot on Reelgood’s list of Top 10 Movies & TV on streaming during the week ending February 7.
