Netflix’s Teenage Bounty Hunters: Every Main Character, Ranked By Likability

Every so often, it feels like Netflix releases a show to little fanfare that goes on to become a surprise hit. That seems to be the case with Teenage Bounty Hunters, which has quickly garnered many passionate fans. The series is one that probably shouldn’t work on paper but is great in execution.

The premise sees two teenage fraternal twins get caught up in the world of chasing down criminals while being mentored by a veteran bounty hunter. One reason why the show ended up being so successful is the fun array of flawed and varied characters. Of course, some of them are more likable than others.

Anderson Wesley

Anderson Wesley (Mackenzie Astin) is the father of the twins. He’s not a bad dad at all, it’s just that he’s kind of a weak-willed person and that hurts his likability. For starters, he shows next to no backbone early on in the series when it comes to confronting his father about a promotion at work. Then, he quits with no backup plan, hurting the family.

He also does a pretty lackluster job of hiding secrets from his daughters. When Blair questions him about them, he chooses to just lash out at her. That being said, Anderson does win points for clearly loving his family, as evidenced in the final few episodes. He’s just too bland to be popular.

Terrance Coin

When the audience is first introduced to Terrance Coin (Cliff “Method Man” Smith), he actually seems pretty cool. He’s a rival bounty hunter who is popular thanks to a series of YouTube videos. He’s also funny in “Death is Bad” when he shows up at a strip club where Bowser and the girls are chasing a skip.

However, his likability falls as the show progresses. His romance with Yolanda puts a damper on a relationship the crowd was rooting for and the way he treats Bowser when they go on a job together in “Our Ham is Good” isn’t great. Terrance does come through for him in the finale, at least.

Debbie Wesley

Debbie Wesley (Virginia Williams) is married to Anderson and is the mother of Blair and Sterling. She’s actually the source of some of the show’s most intriguing and interesting moments. Blair focuses on the secrets that she’s keeping and it leads to a huge finale reveal.

For the most part, Debbie is someone who isn’t all that hard to like. She loves her family and that is to be commended. The secrets aren’t a great start and some of her views on the world seem a bit fake considering her humble beginnings.

Luke Creswell

In the very first episode, it seems like Luke Creswell (Spencer Houe) will play a major role. He is the long-term boyfriend of Sterling and they lose their virginity to each other in the opening scene of the entire series. Their relationship is actually rather sweet.

Eventually though, Sterling breaks up with Luke and fans got to see more of his personality. While he’s a nice guy who clearly loves her, he also goes through heartbreak that leads him to do things like bombarding her with text messages. It wasn’t a good look but again, he’s ultimately a good person.

Miles Taylor

Miles Taylor Blair Wesley Teenage Bounty Hunters

For 99% of his time on-screen, you can’t help but really like Miles Taylor (Myles Evans). He first showed up as a valet with a crush on Blair, who ultimately got her to agree to go out with him. Their romance becomes one of the most adorable things on the show.

You even sympathize with him by the time “From Basic to Telenovela” comes around and he splits from Blair because of her dishonesty. However, it all goes somewhat out the window when he explained in the finale that he never told his family about Blair because of her parents’ political views. He was ashamed and that brings him way down on this list.

April Stevens

Consider April Stevens (Devon Hales) to kind of be the opposite of Miles. For the first half of the season, she’s the enemy of the twins. She plots against them, is mean to them, and feels like a minor antagonist. However, Sterling noticed an attraction to her at the end of “Master Debater.”

The following episode, “Cleave or Whatever,” saw Sterling kiss her, which April reciprocated. For the next few episodes, April became a beloved character. She showed true affection to Sterling and their relationship was cute. Unfortunately, she reverted to old ways in the finale out of fear when her father returned home from jail.

Yolanda Carrion

The viewers were first introduced to Yolanda Carrion (Shirley Rumierk) as the owner of Yolanda’s Bail Bonds. She is Bowser’s boss and the two have something of a romantic past, although he married her sister over her. Most fans probably didn’t think she’d play an important role in the series.

She ended up appearing in many episodes and fans started to hope she would date Bowser. Even when she dates Terrance because Bowser didn’t make a move, you couldn’t dislike her for it. She always looked out for him but she just couldn’t wait anymore.

Bowser Jenkins

It’s by a total coincidence that the twins end up meeting Bowser Jenkins (Kadeem Hardison) and get tangled up in the world of bounty hunters. The role Bowser plays isn’t new to these kinds of stories. He’s a somewhat bitter adult who plays reluctant mentor.

As much as he complains about how annoyed he is with the girls, he becomes a father figure. In “Our Ham is Good,” it’s heartwarming to see him ignore a potentially big reward because he wants to console Blair aka “The Brunette One.” He makes plenty of mistakes but that only makes fans adore this cuddly man even more.

Sterling Wesley

It’s next to impossible to separate the twins and figure out which one should rank where. That being said, Sterling Wesley (Maddie Phillips) comes in slightly behind her sister. As one of the show’s main characters, it’s important that she’s likable and she ultimately is.

The caring nature for her family is there, as are the funny moments, and the way she’s at the center of the show’s main LGBTQ storyline is welcome. Plus, the chemistry with her sister is wonderful. You feel heartbroken for Sterling when everything goes down in the finale with April and the reveal about her mother.

Blair Wesley

Pretty much everything that was said about Sterling applies to the lovely Blair Wesley (Anjelica Bette Fellini) as well. She cares, she loves hard, and she’s a ton of fun to watch. Almost anything the twins did together made for some of the entertaining stuff on any Netflix series in recent memory.

She’s less neurotic than her sister and that free-spirited personality gives her a slight edge. Blair is often the one pushing them to try new things. She’s the one who had the guts to get into the recording studio and do something great. It’s Blair who helps rescue Sterling in the end and she makes a slightly stronger connection to Bowser through their phone call and adventure together.
