Netflix’s Raunchy Comedy Show From Cobra Kai Creators Gets Mixed Reception On Rotten Tomatoes

The new Netflix show Obliterated receives mixed reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. From Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, Obliterated is an action-comedy about a group of special forces operatives who are tracking down a terrorist group that wants to blow up Las Vegas. Obliterated features a cast of Shelley Hennig, Nick Zano, and Terrene Terrell, and has an eight-episode season that was released on November 30.

Following its recent premiere, Obliterated has received a mixed reception on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of writing, Obliterated holds a 47% Tomatometer among critics. The audience score, on the other hand, remains much higher at a positive 79% rating.

What Do These Scores Mean For Obliterated Season 2?

Though season 1 has just been released, Heald, Hurwitz, and Schlossberg have already been talking about what Obliterated season 2 could look like. According to the creators, Obliterated could be turned into an anthology series wherein every season sees special forces take on a new challenge in a different city. Schlossberg described Obliterated as “the White Lotus of action comedies” and said that he and his co-creators are “looking at Ibiza, Miami, Rio, Cabo” for potential future locations for Obliterated.

Even with Obliterated getting lower ratings so far, the base from Cobra Kai may rally to support the series as it continues its tenure on Netflix.
