Natalya Scudder recently took a jab at Below Deck Mediterranean season 8 star Jessika Asai. The last few months haven’t been great for Natalya, as she has faced many issues during her stay on Captain Sandy Yawn’s yacht. In Below Deck Med season 7, the young Stew had a major rivalry with former chief Stew, Natasha “Tasha” Webb. This year, she’s struggling to build a decent relationship with her new chief, Tumi Mhlongo. Natalya also has many problems with her on-screen friend, Kyle Viljoen, who can’t take it easy. Kyle’s gossiping habit has led to a lot of tension between Natalya and Tumi.
Below Deck Med season 8’s highlight has been Natalya’s feud with Kyle and Tumi. However, Natalya‘s latest Instagram Story suggests she may also have had problems with another crew member. She recently posted a cute photo of herself and fourth Stew, Jessika, on her Instagram.
The 26-year-old Australian woman captioned the post (via Monsters & Critics), “My apparent friend who I was there for all season but wasn’t there for me.” The second Stew used a blue heart emoji in her Instagram Story that matched Jessika’s cyan outfit. However, she didn’t explain what she meant by her caption.
Why Is Below Deck Med’s Natalya At Odds With Jessika?
It’s hard to guess what prompted Natalya to make such a bold statement on social media. However, some on-screen clues hint at what may have caused problems between her and Jessika. Jessika previously called her friend, Natalya, a “mean girl.” However, she has done it behind her back and privately told Kyle. Natalya may be simply watching Below Deck Med and finding Jessika’s actions more skeptical. However, she could also be referring to something yet to come in Below Deck Med season 8. There are still many episodes left to come.
Natalya’s new Instagram Story does raise some concerns. However, she may likely be overreacting because of her numerous on-screen issues with Tumi and Kyle. Natalya has been at the center of drama since she returned to Below Deck Med. She has made bold statements online highlighting that her journey in the new season will be chaotic. Previously, Natalya revealed the name of one crew member she wouldn’t work with again. The Australian reality star claimed her former friend Kyle is a horrible human being, and she never wants to work with him again on Below Deck Med.
Natalya could also be trying to hook fans in through social media. The second Stew may be young, but she must be an expert at making many Below Deck viewers tune in to the show. Natalya embraces her controversial personality and does that unapologetically. She likes to share details about herself and other cast members to build more engagement. Natalya’s melodramatic personality is why she’s one of the standout stars of the last two seasons. Maybe the Below Deck Med producers cast her again because they know how valuable she is as a reality TV star.
