My Hero Academia Funko Pop Shows Deku At Infinite 100% Power With Eri

My Hero Academia has a new Funko Pop featuring Izuku Midoriya (aka Deku) at 100% infinite power, with Eri on his back. A key player in season 4 of the anime, Eri is a little girl with the unique ability to reverse a living being’s body to a previous state. Her power — or “quirk” as it’s referred to in the show — is known as Rewind, making her useful for healing or even erasing a quirk altogether. When the superheroes-in-training at U.A. High discover that Eri is being exploited by the evil Kai Chisaki (aka Overhaul), the students embark on a mission to rescue her.

The Funko Pop’s design takes inspiration from the students’ final battle against Overhaul in episode 76. Motivated by the realization that the young heroes will stop at nothing until she’s saved, Eri hops atop Deku’s back, allowing his injuries to continually heal during the fight. With Eri’s help, Deku is able to access his power at 100%, ultimately defeating Overhaul and bringing the young girl to safety.

The climactic moment is captured by a pair of Pop figures that Funko released on its website Wednesday. There are two versions of the Infinite Deku Pop — the standard figure sells for $12, while a glow-in-the-dark variation sells for $15. Deku is posed in a fighting stance, surrounded by the signature green lightning representing his quirk, One for All. Meanwhile, a tiny Eri appears on Deku’s back, peeking over his shoulder. Check out the Pop below.

The Infinite Deku Pop is one of Funko’s most creative designs to date, if not one of the most adorable. The company rarely skimps on detail, so collectors can count on Eri receiving just as much care as Deku with the design. An added plus is the Pop’s affordability, as sometimes specialty figures like these can go as high as $30 or more. Considering its price and design, My Hero Academia fans looking to add this Pop to their collection will probably need to act fast before the item sells out. Collectors should pay careful attention to which version they’re buying as well, as the higher-priced Pop glows in the dark, while the other does not.

With thousands of figures across multiple franchises from anime to video games and even real-life personalities, the Funko trend shows no signs of dying anytime soon. The Infinite Deku Pop is just another example of the company’s knack for catching what resonates with an audience and creating a product out of it. So long as Funko stays creative with its concepts, Pop figures are likely here to stay for a while.
