My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Is Chase Severino’s Bar Even Open Anymore?

Fans of My Big Fat Fabulous Life are curious about Whitney Thore’s ex-fiancé Chase Severino’s bar. They want to know if it’s still in business. The bar is situated in Wilmington, North Carolina, and the nightclub was the main reason why Whitney and Chase were not living together. Whitney had refused to move.

Whitney is trying her best to move on from the heartbreak, but she must relive it one more time as the new season airs on TLC. Fans are currently watching the My Big Fat Fabulous Life couple try to decide if they want a summer or winter wedding. They are also discussing where to live. Their relationship is on a spiral and fans are sad to see it all play out on their screens.

Fans finally got their first sneak peek of the Amplify NC bar and nightclub, which became a bone of contention in the reality couple’s relationship. In the most recent episode, Whitney made an appearance at the bar, which was half-full due to the coronavirus. Fans watched her cha-cha her way through Latin night and became upset that Chase had not named a signature drink after her. See a shot of the bar’s patio below:

The couple has since called off their engagement, but TLC viewers were finally able to see the club that caused so much trouble in their relationship. Chase Severino explained to cameras that he worked his full-time job in construction and decided that he would help open a bar in Wilmington. This city is on the coast, close to man colleges. On the Amplify NC Instagram account, bar management is promoting an event called Tropical Saturdays, which is slated for December 5, so the club is apparently still in operation. On November 26, the club’s Amplify North Carolina Facebook profile asked patrons to tune into My Big Fat Fabulous Life to catch a glimpse of the bar. In the post, Whitney was thanked for stopping by. The Facebook account also posted a message to its visitors: We miss seeing everyone at Latin nights. We are so excited for the day we can open our doors again for all of you once restrictions are lifted!” Bars have remained closed in North Carolina since early October.

While there is no end in sight for the lockdown and the restrictions that go along with it, the club seems to still be able to pay the bills and keep doors open. Only time will tell if Chase Severino will have to close the bar’s doors for good. Hopefully, a vaccine will be rolled out soon.

My Big Fat Fabulous Life airs on Thursday at 8 pm EST on TLC.
