MW2’s Farah Actor Discusses Possible Modern Warfare 3 Return [EXCLUSIVE]

Claudia Doumit, the actress who portrays Commander Farah Karim in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, has discussed a possible return in a third Modern Warfare title. Farah first appeared as an ally and playable character in the 2019 Modern Warfare reboot, and she reappears in a supporting role in the recently released sequel. The end of MW2 teases a future retelling of Modern Warfare 3, and Claudia Doumit has officially weighed in on the possibility of Farah’s return.

In an exclusive interview with Screen Rant, Claudia Doumit recently discussed her appearance as Farah in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign and revealed that she hopes to reprise the role in a potential Modern Warfare 3. Doumit explained that, while she doesn’t play Call of Duty games, she was intrigued to explore where Farah’s story could go after the events of the previous title. The actress went on to express hope that Farah’s journey will continue in a sequel, though Doumit is currently unaware of any official plans for a Modern Warfare 3 or for Commander Karim’s return.

MW3 Can Put Farah Karim Back In The Spotlight

MW2’s Farah Actor Discusses Possible Modern Warfare 3 Return [EXCLUSIVE]

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series boasts a large cast of popular characters, including Captain Price and John “Soap” MacTavish, but Commander Farah Ahmed Karim stands out as one of the franchise’s most fascinating figures. 2019’s CoD: Modern Warfare introduces Farah as an NPC ally, with players working alongside her and her Urzikstan rebels to fight the Al-Qatala terrorist organization. Farah eventually becomes a playable character, too, with players exploring her violent past and controlling her during the game’s climactic final mission. Farah was also available as a multiplayer Operator in 2019’s Modern Warfare, and she returns in the sequel for those who purchased the special Vault Edition. Commander Farah returns for a brief appearance in the Modern Warfare 2 story campaign, though she plays a minor role and is never playable.

A third entry in the reboot series has not been officially confirmed, but MW2 sets up Modern Warfare 3 with several exciting teasers. While the villainous General Shepherd was killed at the end of the original Modern Warfare 2, in the reboot version he manages to escape into hiding. The campaign’s final cutscene also sets up the return of Vladimir Makarov, the main antagonist of the original Modern Warfare trilogy, with a reference to the infamous “No Russian” mission. While a Modern Warfare 3 seems inevitable, it remains unclear how Farah Karim may fit into the narrative.

Farah Karim is one of the most interesting characters in the Modern Warfare reboot series, and fans would no doubt love to see Claudia Doumit portray the Urzikstan freedom fighter once again. Farah’s presence in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 shrank considerably compared to her leading role in the first entry, but Modern Warfare 3 can possibly put the fierce ULF Commander back in the spotlight.
