Every week the studios release several new posters, images or concept art for many of our favorite upcoming films. We could put out each image individually, but unless it’s a first look at a major character, like Iron Man for example, we think it’s much more interesting to present them to our readers all at once.
Today is a busy day because we have posters, images and concept art for 11 different movies. So let’s get to it, shall we?
Below you will find images and synopsis’s for the following films – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, Tangled, Hobo with a Shotgun, Paul, Paris, I’ll Kill You, Life in a Day, The Beaver, Red State, Wolf Creek 2 and the trailer for the Santa-hunting movie Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
This smooch-filled photo of the sparkly Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and emotional Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) was taken in Rio De Janerio, Brazil, while filming the two-part ending to The Twilight Saga. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 will once again star Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Taylor Lautner and Ashley Greene. The movie is directed by Bill Condon and is based off the best selling vampire novel by Stephanie Meyer.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 sinks it’s fangs into theaters November 18th, 2010 while The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 won’t get to bite until November 16th, 2012.

Tangled
Tangled is the classic fairytale story of Rapunzel told with a modern Disney twist. It stars the voice talents of Mandy Moore (Saved) as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi (Chuck) as Flynn Ryder, Donna Murphy (Spider-Man 2) as Mother Gothel and Brad Garrett (Everyone Loves Raymond) as Hook-Hand Thug.
There are 40 stills altogether and you can head over to Collider to see them all.
Tangled comes out Thanksgiving weekend and will be Disney’s 50th animated film – though it has received very little press or hype thanks to the mammoth marketing push for Disney’s other film TRON: Legacy. Tangled’s trailers and TV spots make it seem like a fun, light-hearted movie that parents can enjoy along with their kids.
Tangled lets it’s hair down in theaters November 24th, 2010.

Hobo with a Shotgun
Initially, Hobo with a Shotgun was one of several fake movie trailers that played along with Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s throwback to double feature B-movies, Grindhouse. Although Grindhouse under-performed at the box office, the fake trailers were so well received that three of them got the green light to become full-length feature films. Machete was the first, Hobo with a Shotgun is the second and Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving will be the third.
Hobo with a Shotgun stars well-seasoned actor Rutger Hauer (Sin City) as “a homeless vigilante who blows away crooked cops, pedophile Santas, and other scumbags with his trusty pump-action shotgun.” If the entire movie is half as violent as the trailer, then Hobo with a Shotgun should be good bloody fun.

Paul
Simon Pegg helped turn the horror comedy genre on its ear in 2004 with the help of director Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead. Now Pegg hopes to achieve the same level of success with director Greg Mottola (Superbad) in his alien comedy film, Paul.
Paul is a story about “two British comic-book geeks, Clive (Nick Frost) and Graeme (Simon Pegg), traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien, Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) outside Area 51.” Alien comedies are hard to pull off – see My Stepmother is an Alien and Coneheads for proof – but the trailer for Paul combined with all the star power in the film should reinforce expectations that the movie will be good.
Paul stars Simon Pegg (Star Trek), Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz), Sigourney Weaver (Ghostbusters III), Jane Lynch (Glee), Kristen Wiig (MacGruber), Bill Hader (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) and Jason Bateman (Arrested Development).
Look for Paul to crash land into theaters March 18th, 2011.

Paris, I’ll Kill You
Paris, I’ll Kill You is the horror equivalent of Heavy Metal – there are various directors producing a handful of short films, all telling the same story which will inevitably lead up to the same ending. The film that inspired this project, Paris, je t’aime or Paris, I Love You, was all about finding love in Paris and was a series of short films put together by directors such as Gus Van Sant, the Coen brothers and Wes Craven. Paris, I’ll Kill You will focus more on the horror aspects of the city.
If the idea sounds good to you, then the list of directors attached to the project should definitely peak your interest – Joe Dante (The Hole), Xavier Gens (Hitman), Vincenzo Natali (Splice), cult favorite Ryuhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train) and my personal favorite, Christopher Smith (Black Death).
Paris, I’ll Kill You will ask the question, “If a mime screams, does anyone hear it?” sometime in 2012.

Life in a Day
Life in a Day is an experimental documentary film produced by Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and directed by Kevin Macdonald (Touching the Void). The film is experimental because it was made by 80,000 different individuals who filmed their entire day then submitted the footage via YouTube. This is an aggressive and interesting attempt by Macdonald and if he can manage to form one cohesive thought from all the muddled video chatter then he could be up for another Oscar.
Below is the official synopsis for Life in a Day:
Life in a Day is a historic global event to create the first user generated feature film documenting a single day on Earth. It’s a unique time capsule that will tell future generations what it was like to be alive on the 24th of July 2010. On that day, people around the world captured a moment of their lives on camera and over 80,000 videos were uploaded to YouTube.
Life in a Day will premier worldwide on YouTube and at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011.

The Beaver
Actress/ director Jodi Foster (Contact) teamed up with her good friend Mel Gibson (Edge of Darkness) earlier this year to make a movie about a depressed middle-aged man who only communicates with the outside world through a beaver puppet on his hand. Appropriately enough, it is titled The Beaver.
As uproarious as the concept for The Beaver sounds, potential distributors have been reluctant to invest in Foster’s film because of Gibson’s recent run-ins with the law, his inebriated racial tirades and accusations of domestic violence. Still, Summit Entertainment put together several images, including the one above, to help promote the film to distributors. Of course it didn’t take long before the Internet population took this innocent promotional photo and turned it into the latest meme on Gibson’s life – which our friends at Film Drunk have been so kind to post.
The Beaver is still gnawing on a release date.

Red State
The tag line for Kevin Smith’s (Cop Out) horror film Red State pretty much sums up this movie’s view on organized religion – “Fear God”. Smith wrote and directed this horror story about a group of young people who fall prey to extreme fundamentalism in Middle America.
Supposedly, Smith wrote Red State as a way to depict the Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church, whose members make headlines on an almost daily basis due to the way they express their extreme religious views.
Red State stars John Goodman (The Big Lewboski), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Michael Angarano (The Forbidden Kingdom), Melissa Leo (The Fighter) and Michael Parks (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2) as Pastor Abin Cooper.
Red State serves the Kool-aid sometime in 2011.

Wolf Creek 2
The American Film Market is in full-swing in the city of Santa Monica, and during the film festival Darclight Films announced they will begin work next year on Wolf Creek 2. The film will be a sequel to Greg McLean’s horror film Wolf Creek, which won over judges and audience members at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.
Along with their announcement, Darclight also released the above promotional poster – head over to Bloody Disgusting for the full size image. They also released this synopsis for the Wolf Creek 2:
While seeking an authentic Australian adventure, one unlucky backpacker learns the deepest, darkest secrets of the Outback’s most infamous serial killer.
John Jarratt played the heartless serial killer Mick Taylor in the first film and has been confirmed to reprise his role in the sequel.
There is currently no release date for Wolf Creek 2.

Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale
In 2003 Finnish director Jalmari Helander put together a humorous short film with a rather unusual take on Christmas. To full understand the uniqueness of his story you have to watch the short film below:
The short film was such a hit that Helander was able secure funding and produce a full-length adaptation of his holiday story. This Christmas, the world will get a new take on Santa Claus in Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale. The film will be distributed by Oscilloscope Pictures and stars Per Christian Ellefsen, Tommi Korpela, Jorma Tommila and Peeter Jakobi as Santa. Watch the trailer for the movie below:

On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. And then there’s Santa’s elves, who are determined to free their leader.
