Moon Knight: 9 MCU Heroes He Would Be The Perfect Partner For

Moon Knight: 9 MCU Heroes He Would Be The Perfect Partner For

Thanks to having his own Disney+ series, Moon Knight has become a new sensation for Marvel. From his origins based in Egyptian mythology to his dealing with Dissociative Identity Disorder; fans consider Moon Knight to be a great new addition to the MCU who has them pondering as to which heroes he’ll end up meeting.

Though Moon Knight may never get a chance to meet some of the classic Marvel characters like Iron Man, Steve Rogers, or Natasha Romanoff, there are still plenty of MCU heroes out there. Some of them are practically gift-wrapped to be partnered up with Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight.

Deadpool

With Deadpool joining the MCU in his third film, many are going to want to see the Merc With A Mouth interact with so many different characters. Ryan Reynolds has perfected his performance as Deadpool at this point that he could riff on anyone.

Both Marc Spector and Wade Wilson are mercenaries with less than desirable histories. It can easily be retconned that Marc and Wade worked together in the past, and it would be a blast to see these two characters together.

Morbius

Though he is technically a Sony character, the post-credit scene for Morbius teases that the titular anti-hero will enter the MCU to fight Tom Holland’s Spider-Man; potentially as a member of the live-action Sinister Six.

Since Moon Knight deals more with the supernatural and horror-based threats including other types of vampires, it’s not too much of a stretch to see the two interacting. They could even work together to fight Marvel’s Dracula, who owes Moon Knight money in the comics.

Blade

It has already been rumored that Blade will make his physical MCU debut in the Moon Knight series after his vocal cameo in Eternals. Similar to Morbius, Blade fights in the darker area of the Marvel universe, often fighting the undead, vampires, and anything else that goes bump in the night.

Moon Knight has already showcased similar elements such as mummies and zombies. Moon Knight and Blade are also both members of a Marvel team known as the Midnight Suns. As a result, having the two dark heroes work together to set up Midnight Suns would fit right into the MCU’s style of building up to a big crossover.

The Hulk

Though it was dialed back after Avengers: Endgame, The Hulk and Bruce Banner both struggled with the duality of having two people sharing the same body.  Moon Knight also struggles with that due to his Dissociative Identity Disorder, which results in the personas of Marc, Steven, and Jake. Hulk’s mythos has many horror elements much like Moon Knight, since he was also inspired by classic movie monsters.

Not only could the swapping of identities leads to some humorous scenes between both Marvel heroes, but perhaps they both could learn from each other. Marc and Steven could learn to treat each other better while Bruce Banner and the Hulk could learn how to communicate as Marc and Steven do.

Daredevil

Moon Knight is known for dealing with mystical threats from Egyptian mythology, but he is also a street-level vigilante. To some degree, he has a lot of similarities to Batman, which could make him the perfect character to partner up with another one of Batman’s equivalents: Daredevil.

Daredevil is not exactly a stranger to the supernatural either, considering he’s dealt with The Hand as well as the resurrection of Elektra. The two heroes together could develop a dynamic and plotline that would be more akin to a pulp detective story.

Spider-Man

At this point, the MCU version of Spider-Man has made a career out of crossing over with other heroes. After Spider-Man: No Way Home, Spider-Man will be without his connections to the Avengers, but that doesn’t he can’t interact with any other heroes.

Spider-Man and Moon Knight have had plenty of interactions in various forms of media, from comics to animation to even video games. The family-friendly Spider-Man interacting with such a brutal and twisted vigilante often leads to a fun showcase of total opposites.

Werewolf By Night

Not only did Moon Knight first debut in an issue of Werewolf By Night, but the character of Werewolf By Night is getting his own movie coming to Disney+. This leaves the MCU wide open for a crossover between the two characters.

Werewolf By Night could easily be brought into future seasons of Moon Knight as a guest character, or vice versa with Moon Knight appearing in the Werewolf By Night movie. Both would continue to add to the supernatural horror side of Marvel.

Bucky Barnes

Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes

After all these years, Bucky Barnes has been through so much sadness that he himself could easily be a wise mentor figure. He knows what it’s like to be put through so much psychological trauma to the point of turning him into a new person.

Moon Knight’s Dissociative Identity Disorder is not exactly the same, but Marc and Bucky both share a lot of pain. Not only could they bond over it, but Bucky could teach Marc and Steven to control the pain enough to help him balance his life as Marc, Steven, and Jake.

Doctor Strange

At this point, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange has become an integral character that brings connections to a lot of the MCU. Strange helped reunite Thor and Loki with their father, he was a big part of the Avengers’ victory against Thanos, and he brought three iconic Spider-Men together. Doctor Strange is meant to be the big hero who monitors all threats that are mystical in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With Marc Spector being the avatar for a literal Egyptian god of vengeance, Strange would want to keep his eye on Moon Knight and the villains that would come as a result of his actions. The two could work together to fight all kinds of supernatural threats with their two drastically different attitudes lending themselves to plenty of humorous quips.
